Greetings All . Hope you are all doing well .
I just wrapped up another Fun Gig with my band Thakara . ( Do check out our latest music online , we are there on most of the platforms 😃 ) .
Like Always Setting up was tough in the Kerala heat. We were dripping sweat before we even played one note! and The sun was brutal, but we were too pumped to care.
Setting up under the blazing Kerala sun was no small feat 😓 . We were all pretty tired after that . Then We all went back to our hotel and set out for lunch at the legendary Paragon Hotel .
Now I had heard a lot about this place from my friend . And I have to say , the food the delicious , especially the biriyani . I can safely say that It was the best One I have had in a while too .
With our bellies full we crashed at our hotel for a few hours. That air conditioning felt like heaven after being in the sun all day! We all passed out immediately .
When we woke up in the evening, the sun was setting and we all started getting ready for our set . When we reached the venue, my jaw literally dropped. It was PACKED with people. Wall to wall, as far as you could see. Seriously, it was the most amount of people I had ever played for.
And When we started playing the crowd went nuts! Everyone was moving, jumping, and singing every word with us. It felt amazing. Despite how hot it was and how nervous I was for playing for so many people, their energy made us play better than ever. It was a fun show .
After our gig, we were completely wiped out. Like, dead on our feet tired. We all dragged ourselves back to the hotel , had some food and crashed immediately. I don't think I've ever fallen asleep that fast in my life!
The next day, while returning home ,our photographer was saying he knew this secret spot in the wilderness we had to check out. We were still pretty beat, but how could we say no to that .
Man, am I glad we went! It was this quiet little place near the forest – a river creek hidden away from tourists. The best part? You could put your feet in the water and get a free pedicure from these little doctor fish! We just sat there with our feet dangling in the cool water while these tiny fish nibbled away at our dead skin. It felt so weird at first – like tiny electric tingles – but then super relaxing.
It was the perfect way to recover after a Gig .
