Chapter 1 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an excellent summary of the whole story. In my life as a copywriter, I have learned that the introduction is one of the most important parts of a text; whether the reader consumes the entire reading depends on it. I bring this up because it applies not only to writings, but also to anime series, manga, movies, etc., the first chapter, the first minutes, the beginning is always crucial and determinant for the success of a work.
In Jojo's, the mangaka Hirohiko Araki makes one of the best introductions, and I can say with all certainty that chapter 1 is a work of art. It's very hard to watch that chapter and not continue with the rest of the story. And since I've already seen it all, I can obviously say that in that 1st episode or in the first volume of the manga the whole plot that encompasses Jojo's universe is summarized.

En mi vida de redactor he aprendido que la introducción es una de las partes más importantes de un texto, de ello depende que el lector consuma toda la lectura. Traigo esto a acotación porque no se aplica solo a escritos, sino también a series de anime, manga, películas, etc., el primer capítulo, los primeros minutos, el inicio siempre es crucial y determinante para el éxito de una obra. > >En Jojo´s, el mangaka Hirohiko Araki hace una de las mejores introducciones, y puedo decir con toda certeza que el capítulo 1 es una obra de arte. Es muy difícil ver ese capítulo y no continuar con el resto de la historia. I like the approach that the mangaka gives it because it is a way to relate human reality, let's not forget that on several occasions, the master Araki has emphasized that his work is based on the “enigma of human beings”, as he describes it, so in his story he tries to represent what he understands of humanity in each of his characters.
And we cannot deny that Dio Brando's life is very ordinary. A child under the care of an abusive parent is unlikely to be abusive as an adult, just to give an example, but that is how this character is shown to us, in fact, he is one of the main characters, only that he belongs to the enemy side.

>Ahora bien, entrando en materia, seguramente has escuchado el dicho “de tal palo tal astilla”, quise usarlo debido a que Dio –el villano- es idéntico a su padre, y por más que lo odie, no puede negar esa realidad. Dio es un joven que creció en los suburbios, en los barrios de Londres, y aprendió a sobrevivir de la peor manera posible: aprovechándose de los demás.

>Me gusta el enfoque que el mangaka le da porque es una forma de relatar la realidad humana, no olvidemos que en reiteradas ocasiones, el maestro Araki ha enfatizado que su obra se basa en el “enigma de los seres humanos”, asi lo describe el, por lo que en su historia el trata de representar lo que entiende de la humanidad en cada uno de sus personajes.

>Y no podemos negar que la vida de Dio Brando es muy común. Un niño bajo el cuidado de un padre abusivo difícilmente no sea abusivo de adulto, esto por solo dar un ejemplo, pero asi se nos muestra este personaje, de hecho, es uno de los principales, solo que pertenece al bando enemigo.
Dio's sadness, bitterness and loneliness lead him to want everything Jonathan Joestar has, and although he comes to possess it, he loses it in an absurd way. I found it extremely interesting since he obtained a family, the love of an adoptive father, riches, good education, honor, and he threw it all away because of the evil in his heart.
There we see another portrait of the human being. And the reality is that it is impossible to deny the evil in man. We see it daily, history testifies it and many times we just want to turn a blind eye, but that is the world we live in.
Dio becomes the villain, obsessed by power and greed, he betrays everyone, even himself because he sells his humanity in order to achieve supernatural power, and when he gets it he becomes a tyrant, and like any tyrant, in the end he is defeated, but he causes great damage to the Joestar family before that happens.
I think the mangaka gives him an excellent development, so much so that Dio becomes a beloved character, perhaps admired by many fans, in my case I am convinced that Araki wanted to show that negative part of humanity in this character and he achieved it in a great way, because he makes us think, and those of us who are parents, he exhorts us in a certain way to dedicate time to form our children, since our influence on them will be very decisive in their future. It is undoubtedly a great truth.

>La tristeza, amargura y soledad de Dio le lleva a querer todo lo que Jonathan Joestar tiene, y aunque lo llega a poseer, lo pierde de forma absurda. Me pareció extremadamente interesante ya que obtuvo una familia, el amor de un padre adoptivo, riquezas, buena educación, honor, y todo lo desecho por la maldad que había en su corazón.

>Allí vemos otro retrato del ser humano. Y la realidad es que es imposible negar la maldad que hay en el hombre. A diario lo vemos, la historia nos lo testifica y muchas veces solo nos queremos hacer de la vista gorda, pero asi es el mundo donde vivimos.

>Dio se convierte en el villano, obsesionado por el poder y la codicia traiciona a todos, incluso a el mismo pues vende su humanidad con tal de alcanzar un poder sobrenatural, y cuando lo obtiene se vuelve un tirano, y como todo tirano, al final es derrotado, pero causa un gran daño a la familia Joestar antes de que eso ocurra.

>Pienso que el mangaka le da un desarrollo excelente, tanto asi que Dio se vuelve un personaje querido, quizás admirado por muchos fans, en mi caso estoy convencido de que Araki quiso mostrar esa parte negativa de la humanidad en este personaje y lo logro en gran manera, porque nos hace pensar, y los que somos padres, nos exhorta en cierta forma a dedicar tiempo en formar a nuestros hijos, ya que nuestra influencia sobre ellos será muy determinante en su porvenir. Es sin duda, una gran verdad.
