When it comes to retirement talk, I think it's like judgement day. You have to be prepared for it so the rest of your days will be enjoyable with family doing what you love. But if not, you will find yourself lacking, struggling and the worse you're become a burden of you're family.
Of course everyone's goal is to prepare for it and that's what this article is all about, the "SMART Retirement Preparation".
Think about it, if you retire today. How much would you need to enjoy the rest of your life doing what you love? Is it $2,000.00, or $3,000.00 a month? Those number you are looking right now is just our baseline of how much you will spend to yourself for a basic needs.
Now, do have you numbers? On a piece of paper, write it down. Then multiply it by 12 months to get your yearly expenses.
For example my estimated monthly expense will be $3,000.00 a month.
And my retirement will be on my 60's, since my grandfather died at age of 82 and my grandmother pass away at age of 90, therefore I will live up to 86, that would be 26 years.
The estimated cost of my retirement is $3,000.00/month x 12 months x 26 years, for a total of $936,000.00.
However, these number is not factor by inflation rate yet. But still acceptable for now. I think we don't need an exact amount up to the last penny.
Now that we have those numbers in hand. We will now going to estimate the projected saving and income at retirement.
On this part, I assume that I don't invested for retirement yet. However, I am able to buy and hodl 250,000 SmartCash now, that around $70,000.00 as of the writing.
