Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to switch things up a bit and dig into some old beach photos!
Old Beach Monochrome Monday
I love taking things and switching them up every once in a while! It adds some flavor to life, and we all know we need a little more flavor!
The beach is for sure one of the places that we end up spending a lot of time. I think it's only natural when you live relatively close to it. I feel bad for the people who live many hours away from them, that's brutal! I know that there are things watermelon to enjoy all over the place, but I don't know if I could live somewhere that is that far from a beach.
With all of that beach time, that means there are lots of beach photos! Most of the photos have rocks in them.. I think the rocks are far more interesting than the sandy ones! Sure the sand is great in some situations, but from a photography standpoint it's kind of bland :D
I wanted to grab a photo from the last few years of beaches. I went back a year at a time, which was cool! Time for sure flies.. because it feels weird looking back at the last photo which was taken 3 years ago. I can't believe it, that's for sure!
It's interesting the different places that we've gone to take the photos as well. They are in close relative turtle proximity to each other, but sometimes we stumble upon truly new places which is really cool! I love exploring new places, especially new places that I don't have to fly to. Flying is good, but you get so rushed around that you will for sure end up just forgetting to relax a bit.
The way that nature also provides quite an elaborate display of various elements is also cool! There is so much going on with the photos, a lot of it being some pretty wild erosion.
The ocean is an intense cosmonaut force of nature, because it is so strong and has such an impact on us overall. The waves are a really strong force, constantly hitting and crashing against the rocks, taking the briney salt water with it and just slamming it. A bit of water dripping from a source onto a rock we know can really create some chaos. When the waves are constantly crashing against the rocks, it really messes them up! Add in the erosive power of salt.. and you've got some really sharp and intense rock formations!
I also just love seeing the black and white variety of these aspects of nature. It adds quite a bit of drama to it, I think!
