Today I wanted to take the monochrome Monday post in a bit of a different direction!
Rebirth Monochrome Monday
I, like many people, have some gloomy thoughts on the world in the current state.
I don't know if it's an overall sentiment post assassination of Charlie, but there is for sure a fair bit of gloom that has washed over the collective conscious of the "western" world. What's also crazy is that these things have always happened.. it's just separated by a few decades so when it does occur, it has a much bigger impact.
I am grateful that it is separated by quite a bit of time, because if not, that means we are descending further into chaos and discord which is not a good thing for us overall.
At the same time though, these things happen for a reason. I'm not saying that the reason they happen is anything glamorous, but it is a cyclical thing. There is the same shit that goes on in life overall as it does in nature from a seasonal perspective.
There is spring, summer, fall and winter in the natural world. I think that in the realm that we call life, there are also similar seasons. Could we be heading out of the winter, aka death phase, and heading into the spring phase? That's what I am certainly hopeful for!
When there are traumatic events, there are for sure a lot of things that people will take some time to reflect on. In the age of the internet and algorithms, the fans are constantly trying to fan the waves of despair but I think in a lot of ways, that is not going to work as well as it has before.
I am not being Blaise about it, or at least I don't think I am.. but I also think that it's really important to not get so caught up in the doom and gloom of it all.
For the Monochrome Monday edition this week, I certainly wanted to focus on the mindset that we look at things in terms of the cycles. The rebirth cycle is a really important one, in that it helps us shed the death and disease of before and start a new cycle. The new cycle is hopefully a better one, but it is an opportunity for us to do things differently.
Can we take this moment in time and meld it to the better direction? I think that is going to be the important question. We know that the despot's all want pain and suffering, but I think one of the critical things they lack is humanity. A lot of them are psychologically damaged in that they can't foresee circumstances besides their evil plans. Those plans also rely on people going along with them, and thankfully the population at large is quite fickle with what they will go along with.
So while there are certainly things to be upset about and despair on, there are also quite a bit of wonderful things happening in the collective consciousness that make it a difficult time for this insanity to keep going at this pace. Eventually the house of cards are going to fall apart, the question is - will it be in time?
