This is a bit of a relaxed approach without much intention of raising expectations. I just want to review what is an interesting possibility that other web3 games have already tried. It can be beneficial if a well-oiled, market-ready product is released.

Epic Games is one of my favorite platforms for purchasing and obtaining video games. It's undoubtedly one of the most beneficial for players. And although its platform is a bit complicated, I think it's a good place for independent creators.

How about Holozing! Although there's still no clear release date for this game or even a date for an open beta, I think it's fun to speculate about the possibility of integrating holozing into these spaces.

Just imagine it: a broad market on one of the most used platforms for PC gamers today, one that not only has millions of players but is also quite accessible for games that involve crypto assets, like holozing in this case.

If you're wondering, Steam doesn't have much of an alternative for this game to be available in the future. A few months ago, they blocked all existing and future games that have any kind of relationship with cryptocurrencies. It's a shame because there are worthwhile games like Gods Unchained (also on Hive!) that could be on this platform and perform well.

But let's get to the point: Epic Games wouldn't just offer a Not only does it not only offer a fairly broad market with a high volume of players, but it also offers an alternative interface that is much simpler than blockchain or Web3 browsers, which are sometimes quite technical and not very intuitive for novice players, the very people we want to attract.

It also works as a marketing strategy for Hive. Being on a platform that is quite prestigious and has been in the market for many years, creating video games as massive as Fortnite, I think it's pretty certain that many players would be more willing to play blockchain games if they were on platforms like this one, which are recognized and have much more trust.

And the bridge would be huge. Blockchain games have been on Epic for a while now, but I think the more games there are and the more they are. The better the quality, the more players will integrate into this world and will begin to slowly open the doors to new players, which is where the mainstream is defined.

Holozing, making a video game that I think could attract a lot of similar players from Pokémon or Digimon, would have a good introduction in these parts. Of course, all of this is speculative because it remains to be seen what the game will be like and when it will be released.

But it's not bad at all to see some of the requirements or the process itself to integrate a game into the Epic Store. These are usually very achievable goals for a development team of the caliber of this community, and there is a community around it that can support it.

  • First of all. It's about having a downloadable client, that is, an executable program that can be installed outside of browsers.

  • Clean the game to be able to adapt it to the Epic platform, installation, updates, and compatibility (seems to be an important step based on research).

Those two points are the basics for you to pass Epic's initial inspection. After that, there are some other requirements for them to give you your page on the platform.

There must be some adjustments to the policies, some screening to see if the entire ZING system is compatible with what Epic wants, some adjustments to ensure user safety.

And after that, Epic does warn that an open beta must be done and some details fine-tuned, but from there, there's a market launch and you're available to millions of users. People!

It would be amazing to see Holozing on these platforms someday.
