It's already October, and as always, the Epic Games Store is back with its routine of giving us games every week. But beware, this time it's not just any indie game that flies under the radar, but Nightingale, for the first time a game that has had a mixed reception from the community.
An early access survival game that has garnered a lot of buzz for its strange mix of Victorian fantasy, magical portals, and the whole building-and-surviving-in-crazy-worlds thing. And yes, you can claim it completely free from October 2nd to 9th, and it'll stay in your library forever.
For those who aren't quite familiar, Nightingale is one of those games that seems to have come from a mix of Valheim and a touch of ARK, but with Victorian novel aesthetics and fairy tale creatures. I've been seeing some of the mixed reviews for the game, but I think I'll personally give it a try sometime soon.
Just for the aesthetics alone, I think it deserves a few minutes to see what it's all about. Plus, I'm not going to say no to a free game.
Basically, you're a traveler who goes from world to world using portals. Your job is simple to explain, but not so simple to execute: gather resources, build your base, craft weapons, and stay alive while facing all sorts of creatures straight out of Victorian nightmares.
The cool thing is that it's not all about fighting or chopping down trees. You can also build your farm and hire NPCs to work for you. It's a mix that I find incredibly bizarre, and I can't imagine it working without a few bugs along the way (which may be where the criticisms this title has received come from).
And keep an eye on the magic card system, which is probably the most original aspect of the game. With them, you can change the world's rules, open different paths, or modify how difficult each biome becomes. It's as if you were not only an explorer, but also a kind of "dungeon master" who creates his own challenges.
I've only seen a few gameplays, and I must say they're doing a really good job trying to sell me the game. Although I'm not at all sure about its Victorian art style, I think it's not a bad idea to turn a blind eye for a while and play it for its gameplay.
So, if you also want to have it free in your library forever, all you need is an Epic Games account and go to the game's page before the end of the week and claim it to have it in your library. Then, just install the launcher and You'll be able to play it now without doing anything else. Remember, you'll have it forever.

Ya estamos en octubre y, como siempre, Epic Games Store viene con su rutina de regalarnos juegos cada semana. Pero ojo, que esta vez no es cualquier cosita indie que pasa desapercibida, sino Nightingale, por primera vez un juego que tiene un recibido mixto por la comunidad
un survival en acceso anticipado que ha dado de qué hablar por su mezcla rara entre fantasía victoriana, portales mágicos y todo el rollo de construir y sobrevivir en mundos locos. Y sí, lo podrás reclamar totalmente gratis del 2 al 9 de octubre, y se queda en tu biblioteca para siempre.
Para los que no lo tengan muy ubicado, Nightingale es uno de esos juegos que parece que salió de mezclar Valheim con un toque de Ark, pero con estética de novela victoriana y criaturas de cuento de hadas. He estad viendo algunas de las criticas mixtas que tiene el juego pero creo que personalmente le voy a dar una probada en estos dias
Nada mas por la estetica creo que se merece algunos minutos para ver de que va, ademas que no voy a decir que no a un videojuego gratis
Básicamente eres un viajero que va de mundo en mundo usando portales. Tu trabajo es simple de explicar, pero no tanto de hacer: recolectar recursos, construir tu base, fabricar armas, mantenerte vivo mientras te enfrentas a todo tipo de criaturas sacadas de las pesadillas victorianas
La gracia es que no todo es pelear o talar árboles. También puedes levantar tu hacienda y contratar NPCs para que trabajen por ti. Es una mezcla que me parece de lo mas bizarra y no me puedo imaginar que funcione sin un par de bugs en el camino (de ahi pueden salir las criticas que se le ha hecho a este titulo)
Y ojo con el sistema de cartas mágicas que hay por ahi, que es probablemente lo más original del juego. Con ellas puedes cambiar reglas del mundo, abrir caminos distintos, o modificar qué tan difícil se vuelve cada bioma. Es como si fueras no solo un explorador, sino también medio “dungeon master” que arma sus propios retos.
La verdad solo he visto algunos gameplays y debo decir que lo hacen myuy bien tratando de venderme el juego, aunque no estoy para nada seguro de su estilo artistico a lo victoriano creo que no viene mal hacer la vista ciega por un rato y jugarlo por su jugabilidad
Asi que si tu tambien quieres tenerlo gratis en tu biblioteca para siempre pues lo unico que necesitas es una cuenta de epic games e ir a la pagina del juego antes de que termine la semana y reclamarlo para tenerlo en tu biblioteca, ya luego solo tienes que instalar el launcher y ya vas a poder jugarlo sin hacer mas nada, recuerda, lo tienes para siempre
