Good morning, trainers!

It's been a while since I posted anything about Holozing and the story I have planned for it. The truth is, I get a few breaks in the middle of work, and that's when I try to shape this lore one block at a time. But the problem is that it seems that all the foundations for what I wanted in the story are already laid and ready to be followed.

I even had time to plan something like a spin-off with events in the future of this entire world, one where the creatures are apparently extinct and we can only see them through lenses, something similar to what the developers proposed in their first sketches.

But today I want to talk a little more about the development and what I imagine Holozing will look like once released. I know there are some guidelines and we've been given a handful of clues, but let me digress for a moment and tell you what I imagine this phenomenon will be like in Hive and in the video game. web3

So, let's imagine what Holozing would actually be like up and running, with all the buzz it's already generating in Hive and the web3 gaming world. Because, you see, you read what the devs are dropping in the chats, the bits of lore, and those visual clues, and it's impossible not to think about it.

I imagine it as a mix of digital collecting and exploration, but with a twist that makes it feel more alive than typical NFT games where all you do is click and wait for the token to go up. Plus, there's also a place to put them in battle, much like another NFT game I'm familiar with, but won't mention.

Here, I feel like the point is more about creating a universe where every creature, every biome, and every item has a story behind it, as if they truly belonged to an ecosystem.

First of all, what I'm most excited about is how they might handle the interaction with creatures. I mean, I don't want it to be just a drawing in your wallet,

but rather a real feeling of exploration, of having to "discover" your creature before you can train or show it off. I imagine it with an interface that simulates a lens, as if you were walking around hunting for traces of these holographic creatures, a bit like Pokémon Snap mixed with AR, but all from the browser.

It would be awesome if every time you find a new creature, an entry in your own "holo bestiary" would be unlocked, with dynamic illustrations and short written stories (the lore of its origins can come into play here again, very much in the Pokedex style).

And since we're talking about lore, I think the game is going to need a strong push there. Not just having the creature handed to you and that's it, but understanding why it exists, what role it plays in the world, how it connects to the others. That level of detail is what makes a game like this carry weight and not remain just another collectible.

In terms of gameplay, I imagine a simple but strategic turn-based system, where your creatures aren't just numbers, but each one has abilities that fit its background.

For example, a creature that lives in swamps could be slower but resistant to poison, while one that comes from icy mountains has faster attacks but uses more energy. That would add variety without becoming repetitive.

And of course, like any web3 game, the internal economy will be there, but I like to think they'll do it in a less toxic way than other projects. Something more focused on the experience than on speculation. You can earn things by playing them, yes, but it shouldn't become a stock market with pictures. I imagine exclusive skins, limited-edition creatures, and a secondary market that feels natural.

I'm not entirely sure how that can be achieved, but I don't dislike the idea itself, and I think other games of this style have managed to do it.
