And we continue with the free games I find after being sleepless and eager to find new ones like on Epic. I don't usually find too many on Steam. Most of them are either discounted trials (not bad at all) or just ridiculous discounts, but this time I think the game they offer is 100% worth it.
This weekend, and commemorating the release of the new Path of Exile 2 update, the guys at Steam have decided to give away a few days completely free to anyone who wants to play it. You just need a Keep an eye out for the game and go to the game's page to play it with all the updates they've released.
Path of Exile isn't just any RPG; it's practically the indie answer to the legacy of Diablo II, and for many, it even surpasses it in depth. I'm not a huge fan of Diablo games, but my friends say it's worth it. It's a game that thrives on loot, constant progression, and that addictive feeling that each new weapon, gem, or combination can radically change the way you play.
And the best part is that it doesn't just copy the formula; it expands on it with a progression system so massive it's intimidating: its passive skill tree resembles a star map, and every choice can completely transform your build.
The good thing is that you don't have to be an expert to enjoy it. At first, it may seem overwhelming, but little by little, you'll understand that the magic lies in experimenting, in taking the risk of creating your own way of destroying hordes of enemies. The variety is immense: from specter-summoning mages to warriors with absurd attack speed builds, anything is possible.
Another point in its favor is the dark and decadent world it creates. The setting is reminiscent of the most sinister of classic RPGs, with maps that feel alive and full of danger, where each defeated creature is just one more obstacle before the true challenge appears. And that's where the bosses come in: brutal, demanding, and designed to make you really use everything you've learned.
What makes Path of Exile special is that it never stagnates. With each season ("league"), the game reinvents itself, adding new mechanics that refresh the experience even for veterans. And now with Path of Exile 2 on the way, the excitement is at its peak: an improved graphics engine, new classes, a smoother combat system... basically a natural evolution of an already excellent title.
I'm not a huge fan of RPGs, but if you want to try one where there's always something going on, where the community is alive and sharing builds, strategies, and theories, then taking advantage of this free trial is a must. It's one of those games that, even if you say "I'll just try it for a while," ends up staying on your PC much longer than you imagined.

Y seguimos con los juegos gratis que me encuentro por ahi despues de estar sin dormir y ansioso de encontrar juegos nuevos como en epic, no suelo encontrar demasiados en Steam, la mayoria son o pruebas con descuentos (no esta nada mal) o sencillamente descuentos ridiculos, pero esta vez creo que por el juego que ofrecen vale 100% la pena
Y es que este fin de semana, y conmemorando el lanzamiento de la nueva actualizacion de Path Of Exile 2 los muchachos en Steam han decidido regalar unos dias completamente gratis a todo aquel que quiera jugarlo, solo necesitas una cuenta, estar atento e ir a la pagina del juego para poder jugarlo con todas las actualizaciones que han sacado
Path of Exile no es cualquier RPG, es prácticamente la respuesta indie al legado de Diablo II y, para muchos, incluso lo supera en profundidad. Yo no soy muy fanatico de los juegos de Diablo pero mis amigos dicen que vale la pena, Es un juego que vive del “loot”, del progreso constante y de esa sensación adictiva de que cada nueva arma, gema o combinación puede cambiar radicalmente tu manera de jugar.
Y lo mejor es que no se limita a copiar la fórmula, sino que la expande con un sistema de progresión tan masivo que intimida: su árbol de habilidades pasivas parece un mapa estelar, y cada elección puede transformar por completo tu build.
Lo bueno es que no tienes que ser un experto para disfrutarlo. Al principio puede parecer abrumador, pero poco a poco vas entendiendo que la magia está en experimentar, en arriesgarte a crear tu propia manera de destrozar hordas de enemigos. La variedad es inmensa: desde magos que invocan espectros hasta guerreros con builds absurdas de velocidad de ataque, todo es posible.
Otro punto a su favor es el mundo oscuro y decadente que construye. La ambientación recuerda a lo más siniestro de los RPG clásicos, con mapas que se sienten vivos y llenos de peligros, donde cada criatura derrotada es solo un obstáculo más antes de que el verdadero desafío aparezca. Y ahí entran los jefes: brutales, exigentes y diseñados para que realmente uses todo lo aprendido.
Lo que hace especial a Path of Exile es que nunca se estanca. Con cada temporada (“leagues”) el juego se reinventa, añadiendo mecánicas nuevas que refrescan la experiencia incluso para veteranos. Y ahora con Path of Exile 2 en camino, la emoción está al tope: un motor gráfico mejorado, nuevas clases, un sistema de combate más fluido… básicamente una evolución natural de un título que ya era excelente.
Yo no soy demasiado amante de los RPG pero si quieres probar uno donde siempre hay algo que hacer, donde la comunidad está viva compartiendo builds, estrategias y teorías, entonces aprovechar esta prueba gratuita es un must. Es de esos juegos que, aunque digas “solo lo pruebo un rato”, termina quedándose instalado en tu PC mucho más tiempo del que imaginabas.
