1002372380.jpg Every living creature is required to put in effort to achieve any desirable objective and us humans are no different in this game life. Right from the moment we are born, the struggle officially begins. Even that little baby that seems to have no worries sometimes has to cry to get attention from its mother. As we grow older we begin to dream of attaining greatness pushing us to do better so we can become the best version of ourselves. Every rational thinking human being wakes up in the morning with the desire to do better than what he did the previous day, learn from mistakes made and prove that that he/she is worth something.

This continous input usually employs one constant outcome - stress. It has so become a part of the human existence that it is becoming virtually impossible to point out an accomplished task without highlighting it's presence. Not only is it evidence of hardwork but it also shapes our lives, influences the way we think and subtly builds us whether we handle it properly or not. But regardless of its undeniable contribution, the question of whether it is possible to completely avoid stress remains a hot topic. Too many times we often hear people recommend living life free from stress but as humans with this kind of relationship with stress, is it possible to achieve such a feat? Will life truly have meaning if we can achieve what we want without any atom of stress?.. well let's find out shall we.

For the most part of my life, all I ever wanted was to live my life to the fullest without the unnecessary pain that comes with it and for a long time it all seemed as this plan was working. However as I reached puberty, my bad choices started to reflect on my physical appearance. I was straight up fat, terrible at human interactions and my self imaging was critically low. I decided it was time to work on my looks not just for public appearance but to save myself from the abyss I was obviously running into. The journey wasn't easy but after awhile I realized I could comfortably look at the mirror and smile back at myself, proud of the man I was becoming. The gym became my sanctury and whenever I felt out of place or my emotions were getting the best of me, going an extra rep always seems to calm me down. After months of working out, I finally realized that the pain and stress I had to endure were what made the entire journey worthwhile. Whenever I look at myself I know the new look is a result of everything I sacrificed to become this version of myself so the stress is also part of the process.

Trying to avoid stress entirely is like a struggle against progress because every ambition, desire and objective is only achievable at the expense of our comfort. Growth requires stress to strive, when we go through certain activities without the necessary challenges, we find ourselves stationary and unable to reach out fullest potentials. Stress is not just a sign of struggle, it is also a tool for both growth and development. While stress is a vital sign for us humans, it is also important to rest as well because when stress accumulates over a long period of time, both the mind and body inevitably breaks down. We should also remember to take a breather so that we can reflect and become energized for the battle that lies ahead.

Completely avoiding stress is not even realistic, the best thing to do is to rise above it in whatever form it comes in while also taking rests along the way. I have already accepted my cross the way it is, I just hope you do too Thanks.
