Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.

Another 6 Days is remaining for this season. The season is somewhat ok for me as I was able to play more games in the initial time of the season and win more games. Though it was not that perfect. But still its good, hopefully I will be able to complete the season with a high.

Now with Frontier released this season, we have now 4 different playing format. Let's go through one by one to see which format is good to play and who should play which format.

The Frontier is the latest format which can be played by someone who has Foundation cards. The Splinterlands team has launched Campaign sometime what and when you complete that campaign you get foundation card as a token for completing the campaign. These foundation cards can be used in the Fronteir format and thus its a great way for people to know more about the games and play accordingly. It's new format and you can only use certain cards so it might not be fund for people who already has played a lot of games in S0linterlands but still y Once in a while you can play it to know m0re about the foundation cards only.

Next is Modern format, it is a free to play format where you can use Foundations card and the two most recent sets of playable cards. For example as of now the 2 recent sets are Rebellion and Conclave Arena. So If you have the cards for any of these 3 then you can play in the modern format. But the problem with this format is that you have to constantly update your card collection for the new playable cards. For example if you have cards from Rebellion and if a new set of cards are released, then that will be removed from Modern format. And the players have to update their cards too.

Next is the Wild Format. To be honest this is the best format out there for someone who has cards from very long. You can play in this format using any cards from any sets playable. A lot of people having a good cards usually play the wild format itself. The only problem with the Wild format is that you have to buy a Wild Pass to play the format. People who can earn really good in the Wild Format, they can continue to play in the Wild Format after buying thr Wild Pass. The cost of Wild Pass is 2K DEC and you have to buy the Wild Pass every season.

Next is the Survival Format. This is also similar to the Wold Format where you can play with any cards, but here you cannot play with the foundation cards. The problem with the Survival format is that once your card dies it will take time to get revived and at that time, tha card cannot be played in any format. This si great for people who have older cards and who don't want to play the Wild Format after paying the Wild Pass, they can use their older cards to play in this format.

In my case, I play mostly the Modern format as I have the cards from the Rebellion sets. Now after the splinterlands releases the new format, Rebellion cards cannot be used in modern format. But till that time I can play with my cards in the Modern Format.
