How Your Tax Money is Spent

I was reading a post where it was shown how Australia sends a complete tax receipt from the government which shows how their tax is being used. Now this is a great way to find out where exactly your money is going. This includes welfare, defence, education or whatever. So for example, if your tax amount is $100 you will get the break of how that $100 is used across the categories.

Now this is a great way to find out how your tax amount is used across categories. And we have to do this in all the countries including India. In India only 5% of the total population gives income tax. Now those money will spent in different categories or even used for corruption which we don't know. Once this tax receipt comes into picture, the government should be accountable to all the tax which we are giving.

Now the things is not only the income tax, we also give GST. So getting the tax receipt is one thing and also getting how the GST being used by the Central Government as well as State Government then it's a great thing to know. Most of the states in India gives freebies so it's good to know how much percentage of the income tax is being misused in the freebies.

I know India is developing so finding out all the the spenditure is like tricky. But this can be done in all the countries which can give trust to the citizens. I know it's a lot of paper work but it's a start which can help people to get more connected to the government as well as they will feel more empowered to know how well their money is used.
