We are celebrating Diwali in India. Diwali is a festival of light and we are also bursting crackers and enjoying the festival. Every year in Diwali, we also have Muhurat Trading in which the market remains open for 1 hour every year on Diwali. Muhurat Trading marks the start of new samvat year and it's an auspicious time for all the investors and traders.

Every year I take part in Muhurat Trading by buying some shares of some company. Last year I bought ITC. This year I have bought 2 stocks, one SBI and other HPCL. I had 73 shares of SBI, so I bought 7 more to make it to 80. I wanted to reach to 100 shares of SBI and hopefully by the next year March I can reach to that level. And secondly, I have also bought 4 shares of HPCL to make it to 40. So now I need another 10 shares of HPCL to reach to the 50 level.
And that's what I have bought in this year of muhurat Trading. Now a lot of people also buy Gold and Silver ETF on the Muhurat Trading, this way they are also buying Gold and Silver to keep both the metals in their portfolio. There are few of my shares which I have bought in small quantities, so now I am thinking of selling those and then buying the ones which I already have will be my next course of action.
I actually target to buy some shares so that I keep tradition going. As I said last year I bought ITC and I also have 50 shares of ITC. This year I have not bought the ITC and hopefully by the next muhurat Trading I can get to the 100 shares mark. Mainly there are some shares which gives bonus and dividends, so when you have a good number your shares count will increase more as well as you get more dividends too.
