This is my entry for this week's #BeerSaturday 414 Info: The #BeerSaturday Challenge
A few Sundays back, I finally made my way to BLR Brewing Co on Kanakapura Road. I was in the mood for something light and refreshing, something with a bit of spice and citrus to match the easy weekend vibe. Scanning the menu, the Belgian Wit Bier caught my eye, and honestly, I didn’t even think twice. It sounded like exactly what I needed.
🌿 The Setting: Nature Meets Urban Cool 🌿
Walking into the brewpub felt like stumbling upon a hidden courtyard in the middle of the city. It’s all lush greenery, open skies, flowing water features, warm lights, and earthy wooden touches. Super-chill, but still buzzing with good energy, just the kind of place you want to spend a slow, easy afternoon.
🍺 The Wit Bier Experience 🍺
My Wit was served in a chilled glass, pale and hazy with notes of orange peel and classic wit style. It was light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, ideal for Bengaluru’s warmth.
My Thoughts!
Balance & Body: Bright citrus notes with just the right hint of spice. Smooth, refreshing, and thankfully not too sweet. Sessionability: At ₹365 a pint, it’s the kind of beer you could easily go back for round two (or even three). Ambience: Upbeat music, relaxed conversations, and the general laid-back vibe made the beer taste even better.

Prathamesh was in the mood for a chill day out, so we picked the perfect spot, right by the water, Wit Biers in hand, just soaking it all in. It was one of those slow, feel-good afternoons where the world fades out for a bit.
Cheers to easy sips and green escapes! 🍻
Service: The service was quick and super friendly. The staff knew their beers well and even threw in some solid pairing suggestions, which is always a bonus. Verdict: BLR Brewing Co’s Wit Bier is a refreshing, flavorful companion to its serene brew-garden setting. If you’re craving a citrus-driven, light-beer day in the city, this is your spot.
One thing I’d heard before heading there was how the place comes alive in the evenings with live gigs and DJ nights that usually bring the energy up.
But that day? Total mood mismatch. Some guy was strumming breakup songs on his guitar like it was heartbreak hour, and honestly, it just brought the vibe down. I kinda wish they had just stuck to their regular upbeat playlist. It would’ve matched the breezy afternoon way better. That said, it was the only downer in an otherwise great beer meet.
This is #BeerSaturday week, and I would like to invite @bighungrypanda to write a post in any language about beer with at least 3 pictures.
