The funny things about the story line behind this song is that it was written after several bad things had happened. Imagine that, for a moment. Your family dies, you lose just about everything, but you keep believing (against the odds) that somehow God is happy with you, and this is not any kind of “deity punishment” for you. Many would give up, but this person kept going, regardless.
Job in the Bible actually argued with God about being treated badly, after Satan basically asked God’s permission to treat Job badly, and God said “yeah, alright - but you cannot kill him, I won’t allow that.”, LOL😂. But the person who wrote “It is well” did not argue, did not believe God was somehow angry with them.

I so much loved @blessie31 entry, She sang it with such calmness and feeling that it felt like she was singing straight to my soul.
The acoustic guitar she played was so captivating and it actually blended perfectly with her voice. She put her heart into the song, and it was really beautiful.
She did not change the song at all, and she also made it her own in a way that felt very sincere. I think many people will really enjoy her version of this powerful hymn.
