Every day I walk in the bush near our house.
Sometimes it's a morning walk (or run) on my own while the Mister does his run (or walk) somewhere nearby.
We also walk together every afternoon straight after dinner.
The routine is grounding, lovely, comforting.
We almost always see some kind of animal.
Yesterday it was a small goanna. The day before it was several wallabies in the distance feeding on grass.
And today we could HEAR White Cockatoos (officially "Sulphur Created Cockatoos" because of the yellow feathers that extend from the top of their head) but they were waaaaaaaaaaaay up in the giant old eucalypt (gum) trees above our heads and thus, too far away to see.
But gosh could we hear them!
These birds seem to be popping into my life more and more at present. I'm paying attention to what they're trying to tell me as I think all God's creatures have something to say.

These photos were ones I took just a few days ago on a solo morning walk where two 'cockies' were down low, super close to me, feeding on yummy plants. It was such a a delight to see them so close.
