I’m testing the YINETTECH 18650 lithium battery charger module — a 5V 2.4A dual USB circuit board with digital LCD display and built-in protections (overcharge, overdischarge, short circuit). This module makes it easy to turn 18650 cells into a DIY power bank.

In this video, I build a crude power bank with two Samsung 3500mAh 18650 batteries (7,000mAh / 25.9Wh total), tape, and holders, then compare the real cost against ready-made commercial power banks you can buy online.

The big question: DIY or Buy? Is it worth making your own power bank with a powerbank module, or should you just get a commercial one that’s cheaper, sleeker, and comes with warranty? Watch and find out.
