Salida a Nadar con Mis Alumnos y Compañeros

IMG_20250815_115003_431.jpg

Entré y empecé a aprender a nadar.

Swimming Outing With My Students And Colleagues

IMG_20250815_115003_431.jpg

My students last week were placed into sections in terms of sporting activities. Although, they were told to choose what they wanted to do. Some choose swimming while some choose football.

Whichever way, the two activities are sports. Three teachers were supposed to go with them, of which one was not informed earlier. Although, the information was passed on our Whatsapp group for everyone's understanding.

When she was finally told, she said she was not interested in going swimming. She said she has a phobia for swimming. After her statement, I got to understand that not all sports are liked by individuals. In as much as we are humans, we have individual differences. Although, any teacher who wants to swim must pay for swimming.

I got to know that swimming is an exercise when I was still in the village. I remembered when most of my colleagues always swim while I was just watching them. I thought it was just like something that was so simple. One of them told me to enter the water, but I refused as I was somehow afraid. Although, the water was not too deep. At least it was to the level of above my chest and very close to my shoulder. I entered and started learning how to swim. It was not an easy task, but then I learnt it. Learning it was not just a day, but it took me several days of training to master it. What I was unable to master was the underwater swimming. I can't even try that aspect of swimming. Anytime I try to, I will float back to the top, but my colleagues were so perfect in it. It was fun and is still fun swimming. IMG_20250815_123144_518.jpg IMG_20250815_124953_670.jpg

The image above is the the physical and health education teacher and I. The second one is my colleague who we both went together to the recreational ground. IMG_20250815_115418_631.jpg

When we took my students to the swimming pool, they were very happy and were ready to practice swimming. Not all of them know how to swim. Although, even those that can swim were not good at it.

We went with the swimming kits, but the students do not use the kids we took along.

The whole of them were just too happy while in the water swimming. Students just love sporting activities and this can make them feel relaxed and balanced in terms of their academics. "All works and no play makes Jack a foolish boy". This is a saying that was found correctly. When the students read too much, they will become dull in mind and look, but when they go out for sports, they will feel relaxed and their brain will be calm.

The swimming pool is made in sections, 3fts, 5fts and 8fts. My students were limited to 3fts, although were guided by an instructor.

There is a need for doing something that can make one feel balanced. After swimming that day, most of them felt cold while some were still ready to play and have fun. One of the students has this phobia for swimming just like that of my colleague who I replaced. He said he was cold after seeing the swimming pool. He has not entered yet, but was feeling so cold and was shivering. Sports are good but not all sports are chosen by individuals. We have what we love doing in us and we are allowed to go for those aspects of life. This student was told to choose, but he chose swimming knowing fully well that he had a phobia for swimming. Maybe he just wanted to try if his body could carry it. IMG_20250815_130141_566.jpg

I just love the way that place was arranged. The building is a lodging hotel, while the backside was made for recreational activities. There was a pitch for volleyball just beside the swimming pool and a place for relaxing after swimming. That back was full of recreational activities which I truly love so much.

It was fun and my students were so happy to choose swimming.

I would have taken the picture of my students swimming, but my school do not allow any teacher or anyone taking the picture of the students. I only took the image of the pool and someone teaching a child how to swim. I also took the image of the volleyball pitch with some boys training.

I'm sorry, I could not take the pictures of my students base on security purpose and as instructed by the proprietress of my school

Images are all mine
