Happiness come from within

Friendship is one of the most beautiful parts of life. Having good friends makes everything brighter; they bring laughter, support, and comfort during good and bad times. Most friends give us a sense of belonging, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles or our joys. Some of them motivate us, help us to grow, and sometimes even understand us better than we understand ourselves.

These days the world is very scary and full of vicious people. To get a very good friend now is by strong connection. You can't even trust people again. Someone who you call a sister might be calling you an enemy without your knowledge.s Some friends are something else right now. But it doesn't mean that good people don't exist anymore; they do, and they are the reason why the world still feels a little safe to live in. But the question is, do we really need friends to be happy? The honest answer is no, happiness is something that comes from inside.

While friends do add colors and joy to our lives, they shouldn't be the reason for our smiles. True happiness actually comes from self-acceptance and peace of mind. Happiness is about being comfortable with who you are, even when no one else is around you. Depending too much on others for our happiness, we might end up losing ourselves when they leave or change, because people do change, and change is one thing that is constant in life.

But then, life without good friends can feel empty and lonely. Imagine going through tough times without anyone to talk to or even share your worries with. There will be days when silence will feel heavier. There are days when I do get lonely, and I wish there was someone to make me laugh or remind me that everything will be alright. See, friends bring balance; they make life journeys less lonely and more exciting.

However, living without any close friends doesn't really mean life is going to be meaningless. Sometimes when it seems like friends run away from you, you know that it is time to grow, to learn how to love yourself more, and to be able to enjoy your own company. I know some people find happiness in solitude through hobbies, work, traveling around the world, or simply enjoying quiet moments. Learning to enjoy being alone somehow helps to build our emotional strength, which sometimes makes friendships even healthier when they finally come along.

We need both sides in our lives; as much as we need to find happiness alone, we also need people to share in that happiness of ours. Just like a songwriter says, we don't have to trust anybody, but at last we still need to trust someone. Having a true friend doesn't complete us in any way, but they just add to the completeness we already have within us. They are all shades of extras—extra warmth, extra joy, and extra laughter that make life worth living.
