The idea of time travel is something Have always captured people's imagination. Just thinking about it makes me wonder, imagining being able to go back, redo all your wrong choices, avoid mistakes, or even stop bad things from happening in history. On the surface it sounds like the best gift anyone could have. I'm sure everybody would want a second chance in life to correct their mistakes. If you take your time to look at it, it might not look as perfect as it appears.
But if we can erase our mistakes so easily, would life feel smoother, or would life lose its meaning? Most of our mistakes are painful errors that have left scars either in our hearts or bodies, but they are lessons that have shaped who we all have become, whether good or bad. That first love mistake, business failure, school dropout, stealing, and heartbreak that could have been avoided—all these wrong turns in life all teach us the things success never could.
If time travel is allowed, people will get weak in their thinking and will always lean on time travel to fix their mistakes instead of learning how to handle their challenges. One thing I know is that anything that seems ugly. Like a perfect way to solve a problem, people tend to become addicted to it. Imagine someone going back to everything to make a small error just to relieve the moment instead of actually moving forward to the next thing in life.
Life would stop being about living in the present and would turn into an endless cycle of rewinding and editing. Having the opportunity to change the past would actually affect others progress in life. Go to change the past; who will decide what should be changed? One person's mistake might be another person's blessing. Take, for example, imagine you reject a guy because he's poor, and then later in the future, you see that he's rich and now married to that friend you see fits him.
And you are still single and frustrated, then you will go back to change everything that will bring disorder in this realm called earth that we are in. Because your friend might go back to change it so that she will be the first person he meets. Suddenly, with both of you fighting, who will win? You end up trapping other people in a stagnant cycle.
Another example is trying to save or stop the death of a loved one. Some people have to actually die for maybe freedom or light to shine in a country, community, or even family. History is like a thread; once you start pulling, you don't know how or what might unravel. As much as it might sound fun, time travel might not be free; chances are that it might be only the rich and powerful who can have access to it.
It then means that they will fix their failure and the rest of us will have to be stuck there. It will widen the gap between the poor and the rich more. Most importantly , part of what makes life beautiful is that time moves forward, and we can only get one shot per day, and that's why we value it. We can't go back, but we can keep pushing to make the most out of our present, to love fully, to forgive, to try harder, and to live with courage.
