Just going through my phone today while enjoying my leisure time, I stumbled upon a post about a young lady who studied biochemistry in school, graduated and went back to the same school to study Medicine and Surgery because it was her dream. Not only did she pursue her dream but turned out to become the best Graduating Student in the department. Reading the story and knowing I had also being in the stage too, I decided I had to share my thought on it.

Starting over is a concept many or some of us fear. We’ve all been there....caught in a place where it feels like everything is falling apart and not going our way. Whether it's life, career, business or relationships, the idea of having to start fresh often feels like a failure. We sometimes tend to think of it as a setback, as though we’ve lost something valuable that can never be regained or achieved once more.But what if starting over isn’t failure? What if it’s simply a new chapter waiting to be written, an opportunity to create a new future that’s even better than the past we thought we had lost in the past?
I’ve met people who have faced the unimaginable.....including myself . People who have lost everything....homes, loved ones, dreams, business, partners and yet, they didn’t let it define them or who they are. Instead, they rebuilt. They found ways to rise from the ashes of their former lives, often in ways that were unexpected, unimagined even miraculous.
Being in a teaching hospital, one will often see families who, in the midst of medical crises, thought they had reached the end of the road and about to give up but Yet, through the pain and heartbreak, they found new strength. They rebuilt their lives, sometimes better than before, creating a new version of themselves from the broken pieces of their past. It’s in those moments of immense struggle that the seeds for new beginnings are often planted.

I’ve met and heard of students who struggled, who faced failure after failure and thought there was no way they could continue. They were on the verge of giving up and saying it's over, convinced they weren’t cut out for their dreams and passion. But with each setback, they grew stronger and stronger each time. They learned more than they ever expected about their own resilience, their capacity for growth, and the power of persistence. Slowly but surely, they rose beyond their struggles and challenges, achieving things they once thought were impossible and unachievable
What I’ve learned from these stories, from these people who have started over time and time again, is this: starting over is not a setback or delay, it’s an opportunity. It’s an opportunity to create something even greater than what we once had. It’s a chance to rewrite our story for the best, to learn from the past and build something new and meaningful for our future. Starting over allows us to shed the weight of past mistakes and disappointments, offering us the chance to grow and evolve into something better than we were before.
And the most beautiful part of it all is that starting over is not just for us. It’s an opportunity to help others growth and get back their strength too. Every new beginning we embark on creates the potential for us to impact the lives of those around us...whether it’s a family, Friends, a community, or a world in need of healing. The challenges and hard time, we face in our own lives give us the strength and understanding to help others in ways we never could have before.

The beauty of starting over is that we don’t have to wait for permission to begin again, you just start if you are determined. Starting over is not the end of the road, it never was....it’s the beginning of a new journey, one that could lead to the life you’ve always wanted and desired. Don’t fear it. Embrace it. The possibility of what comes next is waiting for you, is just on the other side of starting over.
