Hello hive Ghana, welcome to my blog 🤗❤️,
A lot of time we pray to God and have people in mind who we think God will use to help us but you see God works in mysterious ways.
Some years back during my school days in the university I traveled to my parents place in Delta state, Nigeria and I had a good time but my holiday was so short and lasted for only three days.
A day before I left for school I decided to do some work at home since it was just my parents in the house unknown to me that work was going to take longer than I expected.
On the day I was to travel I decided to quickly finish up what I started the previous day and low and behold by the time I finished it was already noon and I need to travel back to abeokuta ogun state Nigeria because by the next day I had to be in lagos for an event.
So I set out and my dad happy with the work I had done at home dropped me off at the park and I quickly got a vehicle we set out and since time had gone the places where traffic jam usually occured were relatively free which made the journey fast.
The journey was supposed to last for about 6 to 7 hours about on getting to a place called Oakdale in Edo state there was a massive protest which lead to a standstill no movement for about 2 hours.
This was as a result of the cashless policy which was initiated at that time and by the time local police authorities were able to clear the protesters it was about 6pm in the evening.
The driver drove his best to make sure we arrived on time and I finally got to my stop at Sagamu, Ogun state I boarded a vehicle going to Abeokuta and arrived by 11:30 pm that night and by that time there were no longer cabs in that area going to the area of the federal university of agriculture Abeokuta.
I was so confused but there was an elderly woman in the vehicle I boarded to Abeokuta we just briefly spoke in the vehicle and I helped her to call her son who was supposed to pick her up.
On getting to where we had alighted from the vehicle, he saw that I was stranded because the bike men were not ready to take a transfer, which made me confused about what to do next, and he just asked where I was going. I told him, and it turned out he was going in my direction.
That's how I got a lift that night for more than half of my journey back to school. By the time he reached his branch off, I alighted, and God helped me because I saw a vehicle almost immediately, and I was able to reach my hostel that night by 1 am.
For the fact that I was quite new in the land of Abeokuta, made me really scared because I didn't really know anyone I could have called for help at that time but I was helped by a stranger.
This is in response to the Hive Ghana weekly engagement content.
Thanks for stopping by.
