Acceptance of one's body physique is the best form of positivity because it can help build self-confidence and self-acceptance, and it helps you reject unhealthy body standards for yourself. Body positivity is a very important topic these days because before people meet you in person, they would have read your body language, and if you haven't accepted the way you look, how can people accept you? Getting people to accept their body physique has become a necessity in our world today, amongst other things, because some people believe for you to do certain things, you must have a particular body; hence, the movement for body positivity. Body positivity is the acceptance of one's body type irrespective of their shape. This is important in order for people to build self-confidence and become more aware of the fact that you don't have to be of a particular body type to become accepted in the society. It is coming to terms with your physical outward look and loving it consciously and deliberately. A story was once told about someone who, because she had a certain body type, no guy wanted to marry, and she stayed like that for a while and even tried to register for fitness classes. Not until she met a therapist who told her she needed to be herself and not what others wanted her to be, and of course with some therapy and words of affirmation, she got herself together, and not too long after, she found someone who loved and appreciated her for who she was. While it is important to love oneself, some people really go overboard to look a certain way, and now we hear of people having surgery just to look appealing, which means they either didn't like the way they looked before the survey or they have become too obsessed with their looks. So now we see some ladies who, because they don't want breast sagging, refuse to breastfeed, and some go ahead and do plastic surgeries and the like. This is not to say that you can't set targets for yourself, of course. If you need to burn some fat, take that gym section. Good enough, you can set a target to gain some weight. But finding balance is important in order to avoid health complications because sometimes the results of what you are doing to maintain your body or transform it will be felt later. So you need to consider the long-term impact of whatever you are getting into so that it doesn't make matters complicated for you in old age or lead to future health issues. It's also important to respect people and not engage them about their body type unless they bring it up. So if you love a particular type of lady, then look for those types of ladies and don't bother the ones around you who don't look that way. Something similar applies for ladies. In the end our body is just a container because the true value of a person is in that person and not their body, so if you look at the physical appearance alone, you will miss the package, so learn to accept people the way they are; body shaming is bad. I feel that body positivity should be free and not some general opinion that ends up trapping people in a pool of thought that kills growth and causes low self-esteem. What do you think?
