Kv Mechelen vs Stvv

Mechelen last week got the away win against Charleroi who had too many players missing. They are now 4th in the standings and they feel similar to the previous seasons in that they are capable of putting in good performances but at the same time feel they at any time can go on a long losing streak completely losing it. The main statistic they stand out on are the corners as they are 7-2 on the over 9.5 corners. They didn't have too high xg in their last 3 matches always ranging around 1 but also don't get too much against. Sint-Truiden had started the season with an easy schedule where they took a ton of points but they are now with 3 losses in a row against Westerlo, Brugge, & Genk creating the expected regression to the mean. Last week they played an ok match at home against Genk especially in the first half but they got a red card early in the 2nd half and eventually lost with a last second goal. Based on that match, I have them as a team to possibly back as the underdog. The line today on Mechelen at a high -0.25 handicap feels about right. I do expect a match where both kind of want to go for it and details could make out who wins it. The only bet I took is 0.1 units on Over 10 Corners @ 1.960 with an eye to possibly increase on this at a higher line and higher odds very early in the match.

La Louviere vs Zulte-Waregem

This is a match between the 2 promoted teams who have performed better than everyone generally expected. Waregem is sitting in a comfortable 7th place after taking 3 wins in a row against Antwerp, Charleroi, & Leuven who at the moment are 3 really poor teams. La Louviere is 10th and they haven't lost in their last 3 matches with a 0-0 draw over Dender, and wins against Leuven and Club Brugge. Especially at home so far they have done good and managed to keep things closed in the defense as they are 4-0 on the under. They are capable of locking things down while at the same time their own created xg rarely goes above 1. I do see them as a team who are willing to go forward if things are even or if they are behind. I'm not 100% what exactly to expect from this match and the bets that I look at all have just too short odds. I would consider La Louviere +0 @ 1.86+ / La Louviere 1H Corners +0 @ 1.8+ / Under 2.75 @ 2.75. For now I will stay away and will see what the match brings. The main angle I have going into this match is to back the team who falls behind on the corners. No Pre-Game Bets

Antwerp vs Cercle Brugge

Antwerp right now is just poor which is what you get if you sell all your best players not really replacing them and taking a cheap rookie coach who has zero communication skills and the only solution to only play defense. It has been week after week a team with a defensive minset who still get tons of xg against (1.64 on average in the last 4) while they barely create anything even at home. In their last 4 matches they average below 1 xg created. On top of this, key players Praet & Kerk are injured and they have very limited options on the bench. The main thing they still have is their Name and good fans at home. Cercle Brugge has been a team that started the season not fully ready yet but they have had a couple solid performances as of late. They did lose against AA Gent at home last week but played a good 1st half and kind of ran out of energy late in the match. Away against Mecheklen was rather poor quality which ended in a 0-0 but they had more xg. They also didn't play the best match against Charleroi getting 3 goals against but they had more xg. The match this reminds me most of is when Cercle played away against Standard putting up a good performance and winning 0-3. Basically, I like Cercle Brugge as the underdog tonight to possibly even win it by multiple goals making it the end for Antwerp Coach and time for change. I tookd 0.2 units on Cercle Brugge +0.25 @ 1.803 / 0.1 unit on Cercle Brugge +0 @ 2.142, & 0.06 units on Cercle Brugge 1H +0 @ 2.075. I'm kind of also leaning toward the over even though I expect Antwerp again defensively. Their xg against is just too high while Cercle recently manages to create a lot. So likely more bets in-game
