The Champions League match of Club Brugge in the mid-week turned out as one of those really frustrating ones. In an attempt to get my volume up a bit, I was not too conservative on the stakes. With the main bet on the 1H under it looked ok and I was going to start putting some more stake safe when the 1st goal came in a match where it was not in the air but it also was not a major surprise. The goal came on the wrong side against play which also screwed up the corners and in minute 43 the 2nd goal came which made a tiny profit into quite the loss putting me down again on the season. At least the crypto bet ended up winning with 3 goals in the 2nd half and there are still plenty of matches to be played this weekend. This starts today with Leuven vs Genk.

OH Leuven vs Genk

This is a match between 2 teams who only took 1 point so far after 3 weeks. Genk overall deserved a lot more especially in a great first half against Brugge away. They followed that up with a 1-1 draw against Antwerp who came to build a wall in a match where Genk had the ball but mainly just played it around while getting hit on the counters. Against Standard they had 82% posession but still got 1-0 behind in a match that ended 2-1 and where they also were the better team. Players also started to get frustrated so tonight the pressure will be on as they need to take the win away against OHL. The main question is whether the match picture will be that agaist Club Brugge where they were willing to take risk or another case where the opponent just defends and they patiently try to find an opening. OHL seem to still just have the same issues as alst season. On paper they have a great team but the new coach also doesn't really manage to get it out. Against Charleroi at home they were lucky to have scored the early goal as they could not keep up a good level long in a match that ended 2-2 despite not many chances. Away against Union they were absolutely nowhere and quickly fell 1-0 and 2-0 behind in a match that ended with a 5-0 loss. Last week they tightened the defense against and also defensive antwerp and only were willing to go more forward once they fell 1-0 behind. This eventually brought about the 2-0 and the team showed a big lack in confidence. Vertraete who is important as the defensive midfielder also got a red card and will be suspeneded today. So 2 teams who aren't too high on confidence with the difference that Genk showed good things. I do fully expect a match picture where OHL mainly defends hoping on a counter and Genk keeps the ball in the team patiently waiting for an opening. It's more likely for Genk to find it at some point. I'm starting this match with 2 small positions of 0.15 units on Genk 1St Half -0.25 @ 1.790 & Genk 1st Half -0.5 Corners @ 1.750 all with an eye to possibly add in-game.
