I went with the flow on Friday as I didn't really have any lean on the match. It turned out into a match where Anderlecht one again was poor failing to create many chances and needing a lucky goal to take the lead. Instead of scoring a 2nd on the counter they still gave the win away as OHL made the 1-1 fully deserved though on the full match. I ended up losing just under 0.3 units on this match with a couple small late live bets. Hopefully better results today and tomorrow where I will continue to grind.

Zulte-Waregem vs Antwerp

Last week, Zulte-Waregem took a 1-2 away win thanks to an early red card. The week before they took a flattering 2-0 home win against a weak OHL in a match where they again were extremely efficient with their chances while the opponents failed to finish them. They have shown to play a counter-style game against good teams with their coach who pre-season hammered very much on defense. Right now, I see them as a team who will have some regression to the mean. They haven't been bad but it also can't be said that they will be a revelation this season. Antwerp over the entire line so far has just been a poor team that suffered from all the quality players leaving with a coach who only really defends. They on top will be without key Player Praet today so I expect less creativity in the midfield. I can see why Zulte-Today is seen as the favorite but can also see a boring draw or a narrow Antwerp win on the counter. I thinks this will be a match were both teams will be very affraid of counters which results in a cautious match without any risk at least until the first goal is scored. I took a 0.4 unit position to start off with on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.094 and a 0.1 unit bet on Under 2.5 @ 2.012 odds have gone up a bit since I took it yesterday which makes me a bit paranoid so I won't hesitate to reduce my exposure along the way. I would say that the main reason why the odds are high is the high xg against from both at 1.65xg & 1.96xg in the last 4 matches. At the same time their xg for is also below 1 each in the last 4 games. If I was forced to bet I would go with Antwerp +0.25 but I'm staying away from it as I don't see many scenarios where Antwerp actually plays a great match without goals needing to come from a counter, deflected balls, or penalties.

Standard vs Club Brugge

Club Brugge remains in a situation where they have the quality in the team to potentially easily win from any opponent with a big score but at the same time, they systematically fail at it in the league. They also have a busy schedule and regularly lose points before or after a Champions League match. It also always remains a question how much rotation there will be. Onyedika got injured in the mid-week home match against Westerlo which ended in a crazy 5-5 score. So it's tricky to trust them but also to oppose them. Standard with new coach Euvrard now in the last 2 matches took a 1-1 draw at home against Mehelen which was a fair score & a surprising 0-2 win over Westerlo which was flattering but not 100% undeserved. Basically I expect a match where Standard will mainly be defensive hoping to come out on the counter and finish again at 100% while Brugge will want to seal this match early so they can switch their focus on the Champions League. Brugge despite the 5 goals against Westerlo is still not high on xg against at 1.18 average on the season while Standard on xg created is near the bottom at just 0.79. I took a very cautions bet on Standard Team Total Under 1 @ 1.740 with also an eye on bets like Brugge 1H -0.25 / Brugge Team Total Over / Brugge Corners Handicap 1H if they are still at 0-0 or FT corners handicap in case they would fall behind.

Union SG vs Westerlo

Westerlo played a crazy 5-5 match away against Club Brugge in the mid week which will likely give them a fatigue disadvantage over Union today. They also in the past showed to have big problems against teams who are willing to play with high pressure (5-2 loss vs Anderlecht & 4-1 loss against Cercle). Union is again leading the standings with overall the best average performance in their matches out of all the teams. Last week against Genk away, they ended taking a smart win in a match where it felt like Genk were better but where it was written all over that Union would use the chances they got which they did. The week before away from home, they had a difficult win a gainst defensive Dender with the late 0-1. I actually expect this match to play out fairly straightforward in the Union is the better team who should match up really well with Westerlo who don't defend too well while having problems with high pressure. The odds are also according. I am comfotable with a 0.16 unit bet on Union -1.5 @ 1.949 and I'm looking to add to this possibly in-game with options on the Union 1H Bet, Union 1H Corners, Union Team Total Over, & the Over bet as I see Union getting enough scoring chances.
