This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League, documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Week 8 again was one of those where I ended up with a loss but I actually was quite happy about how I went about things and the bets in general. Oftentimes it is 1 goal that does or does not go in during a week which makes all the difference and this was again the case this time. It unfortunately went against me as the 0-2 which came at minute 42 in the Westerlo vs Standard match while the first half had an xg of only 0.36-0.24xg. That turned what was a 0.16 unit win on the 0-1 score into a -0.5 unit loss. It was also one of the biggest bets I had one the week.

Aside from this, I avoided stepping on some landmines and near the end of the weekend I clearly was less focused and stayed away from most bets which lowered my overall volume on the week quite a bit.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2025-2026

The 2 highlighted bets I had last week were

- AA Gent 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.848 --> WON - Westerlo vs Standard 1st Half Under 1.25 @ 1.930 --> LOST

they ended up with a 1W-1L for a small overall lost but both closing lines were lower compared to where I took them which remains the best indication. Now after 8 weeks, I had 12 bets so the season is on track to have around 50 of them. The ROI so far is a solid 14.43% but it's petty random as there is no size. They still look to be profitable bets though and longer-term results on them also remain good. It is a fact that it gets harder and harder to find bets that really stand out and can be backed with confidence. Easy wins are a rare thing these days.

Season 2025-2026 Personal Betting Chart

After 2 losing weeks in a row, I'm now back around the expected profit on the season which is a nice change compared to previous 2 seasons where I started out with a downswing and needed to grind hard with caution to get things positive in the end. I'm still quite confidence and do have some room to increase my risk and stakes a little bit. I still managed to do 5.6 units of volume which is still way below the 8-10 I'm aiming at but at the same time I stayed completely away from a couple matches.
