Nathan Straus was a German Jew and like so many of the Paperclip transplants (or open supporters of the Reich such as Musk's grandfather), proceeded to the Scheme upon arrival in the United States. He is known for removing Raw Milk for a more industrial version of milk that was "safer for children".
His father, Lazarus, positioned himself as a rebel in support of Jewish rights (historically speaking only) - and as a member of the Beth Elohim Congregation, he was a "prominent Hebrew" according to Henry Hill, author of ' America's Successful Men of Affairs'. It is at the Beth Elohim Congregation where many others like himself gathered, All Prominent Men With a Heritage in Germany and Jews with a Mission. Big start ups and strong integrated wealth sprung up in such quarters. I mean, it was a big enough and loud enough contingent that they didn't keep their secrets shut well enough -- reforms were called for. A "Jew world emergency" was declared by those not aligned with as fervent a Will for the Scheme(36 rabbis attended such a meeting).
"Several doctors spoke out against this policy noting that clean raw milk was highly nutritious and great for children. Leading the campaign for clean raw milk was Dr. Henry Coit. He saw the terrible conditions of the “distillery dairies,” and the health consequences that were blamed on the raw milk. He proposed an entirely different solution: establishing a “Medical Milk Commission” that would have doctors certify raw dairies outside the city. These doctors would ensure the farms had clean practices and produced healthy, safe milk."
By using his prominence among his immigrant German friends, and a swell marketing campaign against perfectly healthy milk, his pasteurization public campaign won over any dual approach. (As with AC/DC power and Edison's sway over the masses, DC was largely put away and AC was adopted. For the health, safety, efficiency and to save children, of course!).
"They did this through a series of articles–many in magazines targeted towards women. The articles claimed, with no documentation, that raw milk was dangerous. The most prominent article was in Coronet magazine in 1945. The headline blazed “Raw Milk Can Kill You.” It was about “Crossroads, America” and told the story of an epidemic in this town caused by raw milk and that “one out of every four patients died.” Except that it was entirely made up. There was no such city. “The outbreak was fictitious and represented no actual occurrence.” (Schmid 144)."

"In the 1980s, Ralph Nadar’s organization, Public Citizen, campaigned for the complete elimination of raw milk sales and consumption through a ban on interstate commerce. They eventually won, through a court case in 1986. The FDA implemented the ban in 1987 to the demise of all Americans and the erosion of farming communities. This tiny, obscure regulation in the federal code says that no one can cause to be delivered into interstate commerce raw milk intended for human consumption."
I'm not a researcher but I'm grateful for the incredible piece - "How the 1987 ban came about in America and what it means to your food security today.": https://a2.beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2025/08/how-the-1987-ban-came-about-in-america-and-what-it-means-to-your-food-security-today-3842497.html
It is thanks to Nathan Straus' contributions and the public campaign's success against raw milk that we now have a declining diary milk industry. Make no mistake, it's a huge industry to date - but if you've drank pasteurized milk in 2025 you know it isn't the same white substance that gives strength. To some unforunate souls, it makes them terribly ill. Others now prefer alternatives like soy milk, almond milk -- ANY variety that might substitute for what their body truly craves to grow (Acts 4:12).
Symbolically, we know what Milk is - that babes need it to grow into young men. Their bones take it into them so they have the full stature of a man. While in no way a singular event, a man like Giger and Straus would get along swimmingly as they are both of a flavor.
