The final product!
Rolling up the messages
Nicely rolled messages for a well deserved recipient
Seeing transparent balloon for the first time
Extremely hard to inflate the first time!
Need to stretch and pull until it looks like this only it will inflate well and steady.
Finally able to inflate close to 12 inches!
Painstakingly add the messages and the balloons inside without bursting.
Boy... I can only say, kudos to the creators of all sorts of balloons! No wonder they sell it expensive because the method doing so, especially manually, is not easy!
Although I did research for a many hours from YouTube in how to do it, because it is super meaningful for the recipient who has a very important milestone to cross, and what better to get a bunch of people who are close to the recipient to participate it together without over spending and this will life impacting for many years to come?
I am really grateful when the project was given at hand, with supposedly just decorating the venue with surprises, the suggestion of meaningful messages in the light of the church theme of Appreciating one another with Words of Wisdom was well excepted; however the process wasn't as simple as I thought.
I looked through a lot of YouTube tutorials and often times they show (as professionals) the way they make it (easy) because of electronic pumps. I am only doing this for the first time and investing on machienary is unnecessary.
And that's where the adventure (with a lot of "choppy seas" experience happened, leaving both my palms red and inflammed from trying to hold the manual hand pump too tight.
This also serves a great reminder that I need more exercise for stronger grip and arm muscles!
But I digress!
So after around 10 times of "inflating & deflating" process of the transparent balloon that was supposed to be able to inflate from 6 inches to 18 inches, I finally get the hang of it and it has enough "leg room" for the messages to squeeze through. I am glad that a spread of 6 hours (between nights after work) paid as it turned out perfect on presenting day!
The smile from the recipient was priceless.
Until Then
