Modelliermasse
Hallo zusammen!
Ich hoffe, euch geht es gut! Hier in der Community findet man wirklich schöne und kreative Dinge! Gerne möchte ich auch etwas (für mich sehr persönliches) mit euch teilen.
Vor einigen Tagen hatten meine Eltern ihren 40. Hochzeitstag (im deutschen nennt sich das „Rubin-Hochzeit“). Diesen Tag haben wir natürlich gefeiert und waren essen. Ich habe mir viele Gedanken darüber gemacht was ich diesen zwei besonderen Menschen schenken könnte. Für mich persönlich ist natürlich die gemeinsame Zeit am wichtigsten, aber ich kam noch auf eine andere Idee: Ihnen eine Figur von sich selbst zu modellieren.
Meine Schritte:
Zunächst skizzierte ich mir ein ungefähres Bild der Figur auf meinem Tablet.
Anschließend setzte ich meine Idee in die Tat um. Mit Alu-Folie und Zahnstochern fing ich erst einmal an, das Grundgerüst zu bauen.
Danach ummantelte und modellierte ich alles mit Modelliermasse.
Die roten Rubine goss ich mit Epoxidharz. In einen der Rubine steckte ich ein Licht einer kleinen Lichterkette.
Nachdem sowohl mein Modell, als auch die Epoxidharz-Rubine getrocknet waren, ging es ans bemalen der Figur. Hierzu benutze ich Acrylfarben.
Nach dem trocknen der Farbe, lackierte ich alles mit Glanzlack (so sind Farben und Modell geschützter). Zum Schluss klebte ich die Rubine auf und wickelte die Lichterkette um das Modell.

Modeling Clay

I hope you guys are doing well! Here in the community you can find really beautiful and creative things! I would also like to share something (very personal for me) with you.
A few days ago my parents had their 40th wedding anniversary (in German it's called "Rubin-Hochzeit" - "Ruby Marriage"). We celebrated this day, of course, and went out to eat. I thought a lot about what I could give to these two special people. For me personally, of course, the most important thing is the time together, but I came up with another idea: to model a figure of themselves for them.
My steps:
First, I sketched out an approximate picture of the figures on my tablet.
Then I put my idea into action. Using aluminum foil and toothpicks, I first started building the basic framework.
Then I covered and modeled everything with modeling clay.
I cast the red rubies with epoxy resin. In one of the rubies I put a light of a small light chain.
After both my model and the epoxy resin rubies were dry, it went to paint the figure. For this I use acrylic paints.
After the paint dried, I painted everything with gloss varnish (so colors and model are more protected). Finally, I glued the rubies and wrapped the fairy lights around the model.
