Cosplay Journey: Chapter 4 "Embracing the Outdoors as Emma from the Promised Neverland"

 Cosplay has always beeb a way for me to bring my favourite characters to life while forming connections with fellow anime enthusiasts. This time, I chose to embody Emma, the spirited and clever protagonist from *The Promised Neverland*. What made this experience particularly memorable was not just the costume or character, but the unique setting, our CosCon was held outdoors, surrounded by nature, at the former town of Dum-ag here in Bacolod City. Most cosplay conventions I've attended have been held inside malls or convention centers, bustling with indoor energy and crowded hallways. This event, however, broke that mold. Set against the backdrop of the quaint, open-air environment of Sum-ag town, the cosplay community gathered where nature and history intertwined beautifully. Though the venue was a bit far from home, the journey was well worth it. Travelling alongside my cosplay friends, the adventure began even before we arrived. The excitement of an outdoor event mixed with the anticipation to meet other fans and showcase our craftsmanship made the trip special from the start.  Once we got there, the lively atmosphere welcomed us with a unique blend of cosplay culture and local charm. The area was dotted with booths, stalls, and establishments brimming with anime-related merchandise, snacks, and an array of accessories that delighted every fan's heart. The variety of vendors made the market feel like a vibrant celebration of anime culture woven into the fabric of a historic town. It was a refreshing take on what a cosplay convention could be, less crowded and more connected with the natural surroundings.   One of the highlights of the day was participating in multiple photoshoots. As Emma, the character known for her optimism and determination, I found myself blending wonderfully with the natural light and greenery around us. The outdoor venue lent a fresh and authentic feel to the images.  ^{cover made by canva} I especially treasured my solo shots, where I could fully express Emma's spirit and bring to life some iconic poses and moods from *The Promised Neverland*. The soft sunlight filtering through the trees provided beautiful natural backdrop, enhancing every photo. There pictures were not just shots, they captured the joy and essence of the event, making the memories last even longer.   Sharing this experience wiht my cosplay friends made the day even more unforgettable. We supported each other during the shoots, cheered on fellow cosplayers, and enjoyed each other's company as we explored the venue. The camaraderie strengthened our passion for cosplay and reminded us why we love this hobby. After a day packed with fun, laughter, and creativity, we all headed home safe and sound, hearts full of happiness. Cosplaying as Emma in this unique outdoor setting reminded me how cosplay conventions can be diverse and innovative, offering new ways to celebrate fandoms.  I'm grateful for the experience, the new memories made, and the chance to embody a character as inspiring as Emma in such a beautiful place. Looking forward to more adventures in cosplay, wether indoors or out, near or far, I'll always cherish these moments that blend creativity, friendship, and fandom.
