Making cover for thermos flask by means of crochet crafting. Crochet crafting is my hobby.

Hello Everyone. For the last few days I have been working on one of my other project that is making a cover for thermos flask (kettle). Thermos is a bottle which is used for storing hot water for a period of time like 8-12 hours depending on the material of it. I bought this thermos few weeks before. I have been using it. But few days before I thought of making a cover for it.

And this is how it looks now with the cover.

So I started thinking of a design for it. Many designs were popping in my mind. After I made my mind for a specific design then I started thinking of its color. I chose off white color as the base color. The design is simple. Here is a step by step of it with pictures. First I made the base of the cover which is circle in shape and it is very easy to make.

After making the base, the next part was the transformation from this little circle to a large cylinderical like shape as you can see in the picture below. This step was a bit difficult because it has to be aligned in shape and I managed to do it properly and neatly.

The next step was to make a curly like design around the neck of the cover to make it look even more beautiful. And for this part I used sky blue color and it looks very good in combination with off white color.

Well at this very point I thought that the work was finished but in my mind I was thinking that something was still missing and it did not look complete. So, in order to make it look more complete I thought of making a cartoon like figure and stitch it at the front center of it. And I came up with an applique boy figure.

I selected the same color for the applique figure and here is how it looks after completion. The final result.
