The Alcatraz Ruins are one of the tourist Attractions in Roxas City. It is believed that this was used by ancient people of Roxas city, who built it as a fortress and prison during the Español era. You can see the massive and towering walls here. This is one of the reasons and witnesses to the Philippines' independence; it is also a good place to visit if you are interested in Philippine history and want to see incredible views from the past.

The ruins of the walls here are fascinating because they demonstrate the strength and intrigue that went into their construction for the protection of everyone who lives here. These walls reflect both the city's struggle and the country's progress.

My First Visit

One of the things you'll see here at the top of the ruins is this big tree, which is used as a resting place when you come here in hot weather, and even though the wind is strong here, you still need somewhere to shelter because of the extreme heat.
Because of the stunning scenery, this is also where brides and grooms get their prenuptials and debutantes have their photoshoots. There are also students who practice their dances here, and they prefer the view of the ruins.

This is one of the most stunning views of the ruins; you can see the sea of Roxas City.
I can only share a few pictures from my first visit because I was here with my ex and I don't want to talk about the past lol haha
My 2nd Visit

This is my second visit here, and I came with my brother and a friend. I brought them here because my brother he had only been to our house once, and the ruins were one of the places I took him so that they could both see the beauty of the ruins. Also, relax after a long and stressful day at work.
Some children have asked if we would like to take a group photo with the three of us. If we do, they'll get twenty pesos. I agreed, allowing the three of us to take a photograph. They also took a good picture of us, so the 20 pesos were well spent. Actually, they were happy that we agreed to photograph of them. And because they were together, I gave them each twenty pesos, which made them happy again.

We ate the street food we purchased at People's Park before coming here, after taking pictures with the children. As we ate, we had a view of the wide ocean and the boats that were parked on the shore below. Then, I snapped a photo with my brother. Just me only Hehe

The other side is where you can sit here in the ruins, which you can see from above when taking a photo from below. I actually get dizzy looking at it from there, haha.

Going down to the stairs, the wind is strong here; you can see and feel that the wind blowing your other half away from the others. 😆 Kidding aside, haha.
You can see and feel how strong they did it before. And it's going down so you can see the old, big and strong wall.

So, here it is. You can see all of the views of the wall, as well as the old wall. I'm glad I was able to take a photo here by myself, which I couldn't do on my first visit. I don't know why I don't have a picture either. Haha, lol

Another shot of the old wall behind me, with people sitting on top while I sat on the big rock. I had a hard time sitting there because I have a short leg, haha.

As you can see, there are people taking photos on the old wall behind my brother and me. There are also a lot of people around because it is afternoon. People also come here to wander around or to go on dates.

Yay! After taking picture like I'm chill, I need to sit down before moving on to the next rock. 😆 Hahaha, I'm afraid of falling there because it's a high point and there's water on the other side.

I'm with the large rocks at the bottom. As the sea deepens, the water reaches that point.
If you want, you can swim here as well, but only if you know how to clean up your mess and are familiar with the shallow and deep areas of the water.

This is the cloud I saw when we're going home.
It was evening when we got home, and we were really having fun. It was worth our time here.
You can go here for free. if you enjoy this historical view. You'll be astonished by what you see and wonder how it was used in the past and how this place actually looked like during the Español era.
That's it for today. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me here, especially this who upvoted and reblogged my post. I sincerely appreciate you all 🫶🏻
