Jesus did tell us in John 16:33 that in this world we are going to face tribulations, and that is what we are seeing today. Almost every side we turn there is one problem or the other. Peace seems to be lacking in this world. We should not be too focused on the cares of this world. ‎ ‎When we put in all our concern of the things that this world has to offer us we can easily lose our peace because they are temporary. Our source of peace and joy should not be based on material possessions. Our joy and peace should be from within and not from without. The source of joy which is derived from without can be taken away by anyone. But the joy from within can not be taken away because it is God that puts it in us. ‎ ‎Problems are a normal part of life. The world we live in is full of problems, tribulations, foolishness, illusions etc. There's no peace in the world, it is all full of wickedness and problems, that's why many people lose their peace because their hearts are too attached to worldly things. 1 John 2:15-16 made us to understand that when we love the things of the world more than God, we become easily troubled when those things are no more. ‎ ‎We shouldn't love the things in the world more than we love God. We have nothing to worry about because Jesus assured us that He has overcome the world on our behalf. Therefore, nothing in this world is permitted to make us lose our peace. All we have to do is put our faith in Him. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
