https://youtu.be/X6H26s9c1Ik?si=UqzP24KtJkpCiL4S The bible teaches of about the life our Jesus Christ our savior. His earthly mother was Mary and his father was Joseph. Joseph was a carpenter. Jesus, being the son of a carpenter was exposed to the craft. Christ in his divine nature was humble enough to tow along his father's occupation. Mark 6:3 - Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. The people in the hometown of Jesus recognized him as a carpenter. Seeing Him in that perspective made them look down on Him. They thought they knew all about Him simply because He was a carpenter. This made them look at him with low regard and even picked offense when He ministered to them. Even Jesus being all powerful had a limit to the miracles he could perform because there familiarity brought out their unbelieve. Receiving from Jesus is dependent on how we see Him. When we want to receive anything from Him we should see Him as someone who can provide what we seek and not from another perspective. Most people we often expect the least from are the ones who end up surprising us. Those who are too familiar find it difficult to receive.
