Hackers, Startups y Web3: Así se vivieron las conferencias en Santa Cruz, Bolivia [ESP-ENG] +Mi Informe de Actifit: Agosto 4 2025

¡Hola querida comunidad, les encantará este post que traemos para ustedes!

Este fin de semana (del viernes 1 al domingo 3 de agosto) tuvimos una experiencia increíble en Santa Cruz. Se trató de un ciclo de conferencias denominado Buildathon 2025 donde los temas eran sobre criptomonedas, blockchain y Web3, que se llevó a cabo en la Universidad Univalle, más o menos a una hora desde mi casa. Los horarios fueron por la tarde, desde las 2:00 pm hasta las 18:30, ¡y valió totalmente la pena asistir!

Todo esto fue organizado por la comunidad de Ethereum Bolivia, y también gracias al amigo Criptopepe1, un tiktoker cripto que sigo desde hace un tiempo. Él fue quien nos informó sobre el evento, y no lo pensamos dos veces para apuntarnos.

Lo interesante es que no fue solo una serie de charlas, sino también un espacio donde jóvenes desarrolladores (o “hackers” como los llamaban en el evento) presentaban sus proyectos tecnológicos. Fue como una competencia de talento donde los mejores podían destacar en el ecosistema cripto. El domingo al finalizar la tarde se entregaron premios a los más destacados, y todos quedamos motivados con lo que vimos.

👩‍💻 Conociendo a Arlette Salase y el poder latino en la Web3

Durante el evento también hubo espacio para hacer networking, conocer nuevas personas y compartir ideas. Uno de los momentos más especiales fue conocer a @arlettemsalase , una de las figuras más influyentes del mundo Web3 en Latinoamérica. Su charla se tituló: “Navegando la economía: Cómo asegurar tu puesto en Web3”. Aunque no habló directamente de Hive, fue genial saber que es una de las que impulsa la comunidad Web3 y que también conoce de Hive. Nos sacamos una foto con ella para el recuerdo.

Arlette ha sido embajadora de Polkadot, ha trabajado con Platzi, Bitfinex y forma parte de CriptoCuriosas, una comunidad enfocada en mujeres en Web3. ¡Una crack total!

Nos llevamos recuerdos como pines, fotos, y hasta nos animamos a abrir una cuenta de TikTok para subir parte de la experiencia. Si quieren seguirnos, están invitados. Nos alegra mucho compartir esto con ustedes y esperamos que puedan vivir algo parecido en sus ciudades.

Hackers, Startups and Web3: This is how the conferences were lived in Santa Cruz, Bolivia

“An event full of technology, young talent and a lot of blockchain energy”

¡Hello dear community, you will love this post we bring for you!

This weekend (Friday August 1st to Sunday August 3rd) we had an incredible experience in Santa Cruz. It was a series of conferences called Buildathon 2025 where the topics were about cryptocurrencies, blockchain and Web3, which took place at Univalle University, about an hour from my house. The times were in the afternoon, from 2:00 pm to 18:30, ¡and it was totally worth attending!

All this was organized by the Ethereum Bolivia community, and also thanks to my friend Criptopepe1, a crypto tiktoker I've been following for a while. He was the one who informed us about the event, and we didn't think twice to sign up.

The interesting thing is that it was not only a series of talks, but also a space where young developers (or “hackers” as they were called at the event) presented their technological projects. It was like a talent competition where the best could stand out in the crypto ecosystem. On Sunday, at the end of the afternoon, prizes were awarded to the most outstanding, and we were all motivated by what we saw.

👩‍💻 Getting to know Arlette Salase and the Latino power on the Web3

During the event there was also space for networking, meeting new people and sharing ideas. One of the most special moments was meeting @arlettemsalase , one of the most influential figures in the Web3 world in Latin America. Her talk was entitled: “Navigating the Economy: How to secure your place in Web3”. Although she didn't talk directly about Hive, it was great to know that she is one of the driving forces behind the Web3 community and that she also knows about Hive. We took a photo with her to remember.

Arlette has been an ambassador for Polkadot, has worked with Platzi, Bitfinex and is part of CriptoCuriosas, a community focused on women in Web3. ¡A total crack!

We took away souvenirs like pins, photos, and even encouraged each other to open a TikTok account to upload part of the experience. If you want to follow us, you are invited. We are very happy to share this with you and we hope you can experience something similar in your city.
