A couple of months ago, I visited "Ferreteria EPA", a large company that's part of Venezuela and is highly popular throughout the country. It had been too many years since I'd been to this store, but since I've returned, I discovered it now has a nursery, and I couldn't resist taking a look around, marveling at the variety found here.

Tenía demasiados años sin visitar esta tienda, y ya que he vuelto, he descubierto que ahora cuenta con un Vivero, y no resistí en observar el lugar y quedando totalmente maravilloso con la variedad que se encuentra aquí.***
One of the most satisfying products I noticed in the store was the seeds. They offered a wide variety of seeds, from fruit trees to a wide variety of flowers. I bought catnip and dahlia seeds. Each one cost the same $2.50, which was truly affordable for their quantity, quality, and price.
>***Uno de los productos más satisfactorio que pude notar en la tienda fueron las semillas. Con una gran variedad de semillas, desde frutales, hasta una gran variedad de Flores. The catnip was terrible for me. It had nothing to do with their growth, because they grew very well, but my kittens didn't like it.

I think it has to do with the fact that they have free rein in the house and chew other grasses that aren't cat-friendly at all, and I think they have a strong preference for it.

But obviously, I didn't waste it. I actually gave it to my neighbor for her rabbits, who ate it right away (this way, I know the investment wasn't wasted).

I loved waiting for the dahlias; I was able to enjoy the growth of these flowers day after day. To this day, there are still several dahlias that haven't bloomed yet, but I'm still waiting.

I was very slow in not taking pictures of the seed packet for those who wanted to look for them, but here's a photo from the internet so you can see them.

The thing about dahlia seeds is that they come in a variety of colors, and that frustrated me a little because several of them died, and my only thought was that the colors I wanted were going to be lost, but that was temporary. So far, I've seen at least 10 different colors grow that have amazed me.

Among the colors I managed to obtain are various shades of purple. My favorite is lilac, with a flower abundant in white petals. I found its growth and pigmentation spectacular. I spent three days watching it gradually transform. Pink, pastel, and dark shades are truly beautiful.
>***Entre los colores que logré obtener están varios tonos de morados, mi favorito de este tono es el lila, con una flor abundante en pétalos, blancas, su crecimiento y pigmentación me pareció espectacular, duré 3 días observando como se iba transformando poco a poco. Orange. There were two shades of orange that are very pretty, and also red, which is gorgeous because it starts out burgundy and turns red over time, making it a truly unforgettable sight. And I must say I'm still waiting because I have great faith in seeing the yellow ones. I say this because I saw a photo of all the flowers in the seed, and I'm really missing the yellow ones, among others.

One mistake I made was planting them too close together. This caused many to die or severely stunted their growth. This happened because I didn't do my research before planting them.
>***Un error que cometí fue el sembrarla muy juntas, esto hizo que muchas murieran o les impidió mucho su crecimiento, y esto me sucedió por no haberme informado antes de plantarlas.***
This led me to dig up several and replant them elsewhere. It wasn't so bad, because I managed to create space for six of them in different locations so they could flower properly, and they'll continue to grow there. My goal is to collect the seeds, separating them by color, and then try to plant them in a visually appealing order.
>***Esto me llevo a desenterrar varias y replantar en otro sitio, no fue tan mal, porque le logré dar lugar a 6 de ellas en diferentes partes para que florezcan adecuadamente, ahí siguen su crecimiento. Mi objetivo es recolectar las semillas separandolas por color y así probar sembrarlas de manera que quede visualmente bonitas en orden.***
And finally, I'll show you these two beautiful flowers my godmother gave me. She and I always exchange plants. We've collected several of these. I mostly give her cacti and succulents because she hardly has any. These two flowers are also succulents, and they're very easy to plant.
>***Y para finalizar, mostraré esta dos hermosas flores que me regaló mi madrina, ella y yo nos intercambiamos siempre nuestras plantas, hemos recolectado varias así, yo mayormente le regalo cactus y suculentas porque casi no tiene.
