DeFi Campus's first writing contest has officially ended.
First of all, thanks to all those who have participated or re-hive to help spread the word. A total of 8 entries were received as listed below,
DeFi is a rather new concept and hence, it is not an easy topic to write about. Hence, I found it quite encouraging to see 8 entries.
Winners
It is not an easy task to judge and rank the top 3 entries because every post has its own merits. In the end, @vlemon and I decided that the winners are,

Update: Special thanks to @cardboard who tipped 21 HBD to this post. This has been distributed to the top 3 winners and the other entries. The top 3 winners get 4, 3 and 2 HBD respectively while the other entries get 1 HBD each. Remaining HBD will be transferred to @defi.campus to be used as future contests prizes. 😁
I think all 3 entries highlighted the permissionless nature of DeFi. Where no one has to seek any permission from a central party (e.g. a bank) to participate in the available financial services. In my opinion, this is a very powerful feature because there are many people around the world who are financially censored due to various reasons. We live in a world where the governments and banks control our finances and DeFi is one small step for us to regain control.
Participation Rewards
As mentioned in the contest announcement post, 30 HIVE are allocated to reward the first 30 entries. If there are less than 30 entries, those who had re-hive the announcement post will get a chance to win 1 HIVE each.
Since we only have 8 entries and 10 re-hives (sponsors and organizers are excluded), each of them will receive 1 HIVE each.
