Beach Vibes & Content Creation: A Productive Sunday at Changi

This is probably my most productive Sunday ever—haha! I got quite a lot done today and still managed to squeeze in grocery shopping and a haircut. I guess that’s what I’m able to do when the weather is so good—it just feels wrong to waste a single precious second.

As soon as I woke up and saw the blue sky through my window, I immediately thought of heading out to a relaxing place to spend my Sunday morning. In the back of my mind, I already knew I wanted to go to the beach, especially after reading a travel post by another Hiver who shared her experience at one of the popular beaches in Indonesia. Unfortunately, I couldn’t just go there on a whim—one day isn’t enough if I’m really going to visit another country. Still, that’s totally fine since there are also some great beaches right here in the city that offer a similar vibe. :)

One of the nicer spots here is Changi Village. It’s actually the least developed among the beaches I’ve visited, with the most basic amenities—but that’s perfectly fine with me. I’m really just there for the view of the ocean from the shore.

Another reason I visited this place was to practice creating videos for my mainstream social apps. It’s a great spot for filming because it’s relaxing, and there's no pressure about disturbing anyone—the area is spacious enough that a few visitors like me can enjoy it without getting in each other’s way, especially in this hot weather. I don’t mind the warm sun either; it’s actually perfect for capturing videos with the ocean as a backdrop.

I actually made the wrong choice of clothes and footwear… I should’ve worn sportswear or something more suitable for active activities. However, since I didn’t want to go back and change, I decided to just go with it. I made it fun by using the markings on the soles of my shoes to stamp the sand and write my Hive username. It wasn’t my original idea—I got the inspiration from a post I read yesterday. Still, it ended up being one of the most enjoyable parts of my time there.

My stay at Changi Beach Park was rather short. I moved quickly to capture the videos I needed because I noticed dark clouds starting to form overhead. I didn’t want to get stuck in the park all day in case it rained. Here’s a compilation of short videos I took during my walk.

Of course, I also took a bunch of photos for this post. That’s how I’m making my travels more worthwhile these days—I get to practice both photography and videography at the same time. The photos are for my Hive posts, while the videos are for my mainstream socials like TikTok and YouTube. Here are some of the photos I took during my walk.

Overall, it was a simple but fulfilling day that reminded me how refreshing it is to just get out and enjoy what’s around me. I’m glad I was able to create content while also taking time to relax and recharge. Looking forward to more spontaneous little adventures like this soon!
