From Engagement to Growth with Ecency

This Sunday felt like a productive one for me because I did well with my Hive engagement. I actually managed to reach the top spot on Ecency's leaderboard at the time of writing this post. It's not easy to achieve this position since there are many avid Ecency users who take engagement to the next level. This is especially evident when you check the activities in Waves. I noticed this because I spent a substantial amount of time engaging in Waves over the past few days and realized just how enthusiastic the users are.

Just imagine if Hive’s user base grew to even 1% of mainstream social media apps like TikTok... I think it would be nearly impossible to keep up with the Waves or Snaps feeds by then. I say this because, even with Hive’s current user base, the Waves feed alone is already more than enough to occupy my entire afternoon, LOL.

Looking at today’s activities, I managed to accrue a total of 182 interactions, which put me at the top of Ecency’s leaderboard. That’s a combination of upvotes and comments, earning me a total of 55 Ecency points. This is a great incentive as I’ve been accumulating points to boost both my HP and my posts.

I believe Ecency points have successfully expanded their use cases even though they don’t provide direct monetary benefits. Indirectly, they still help an account earn more \$HIVE. As of now, I know two methods to make this happen, both of which I’ve used and tested myself.

The first is acquiring a 200 HP delegation from Ecency by paying 1,500 Ecency points. Some might say that’s not much, but I disagree. I think any amount of Hive is crucial to one’s growth on the platform. Aside from curation rewards, having an extra 200 HP provides additional influence and power.

The second way I use my Ecency points is to promote my blog posts. The process is simple: just click the Boost icon on Ecency’s frontend, and you’ll see the available options. One of them is “Post Promote,” which offers 1, 2, 3, 7, or 14 days of post promotion. It’s a great way to bring more visibility to your content since Ecency has many active users who support each other’s journeys on the platform.

Overall, Ecency points present a solid use case, and their value will become even clearer as Hive attracts a larger user base. Once more eyes are reading content on Hive, these services will be in higher demand and even more useful. Collecting Ecency points has promising future prospects, and I believe they will continue to be a valuable part of one’s Hive journey.

In the end, every point earned through Ecency feels like a step forward in my Hive journey. What may seem small today could bring even greater value as the platform continues to grow. That’s why I see Ecency points not just as rewards, but as meaningful investments in my future here.
