Woohoo! 🐉 I just received my very first end-of-season rewards! A total of 21,593 Glinth was credited to my account, and I was really excited about it. Since I’ve been using most of the Glinth I earn from battles ⚔️, these bonus season rewards are crucial for helping me grow my soulbound card deck 🛡️ or replenish my Energy ⚡ when I’ve fully used it in Modern format battles.

Essentially, these Glinth rewards will definitely boost my growth in the game. If I manage them wisely, I’ll be able to use these rewards to earn even more in the coming season—so I need to spend them carefully.

In this post, I want to reflect on the events of the previous season 📜 and use those experiences as lessons to improve my performance in the upcoming one. I also hope that what I share here can serve as a reference for those who are just starting their journey in Splinterlands. My goal is to provide insights about the game that will be helpful to anyone reading this.

1) ⚔️ Important learnings from the past 2 weeks

• Positioning > raw power. I improved my win rate mostly by fixing lineup order and understanding ruleset modifiers... without many upgrades (I only nudged a few elves like Kaylia / Endless Ape / Warlock / Ranger to Level 2). I even note Silver League may be reachable with smart positioning alone.

• Do the basics to unlock progression. Frontier requires enough Foundation cards 🛡️, which I get from Campaign. I initially skipped ahead, then realized I needed to return and clear Campaign chapters to progress efficiently.

• Card levels matter at Bronze II. I felt the gap vs. opponents with L2–L3 cards and concluded I’ll need targeted upgrades to push past Bronze and into Silver I League.

• Resource management. Buying cards too quickly vs. earning them via Campaign / Frontier; selling unneeded reward cards 💰 to recoup DEC; SPS staking is compounding nicely.

• Ruleset-specific takeaway. From my Aug 3 battle journal 📖: I focused on Blast 💥, finding better tank + damage-dealer synergies for that ruleset.

2) 🐉 Strategies I’ve been learning

• Earth/Elf focus: I framed an “Earth Splinter domination” approach around Endless Ape (my favorite tank! \:D)

• Position-first playbook: Place melee ⚔️ front (unless Reach / Sneak / Opportunity), keep ranged off the frontline, lean on magic/ranged in back; adapt to rulesets rather than forcing card upgrades.

• Campaign → Frontier → Modern sequencing: Finish Campaign to farm Foundation cards, then grind Frontier for rewards, then push Modern once your core is stable.

• Targeted upgrades, not scattershot: Prioritize L2 on the cards I'm actually using (e.g., Kaylia Silverleaf + key elves) to close the Bronze-tier gap efficiently.

• Portfolio habits: Keep SPS staked 💎, keep a DEC buffer 💰 for opportunistic buys, and sell duplicate reward cards to recycle capital.

3) My next steps (Aug 16–30, 2025)

• Frontier dailies: 10–15 focused Frontier battles/day to farm rewards.

• Ruleset drills: Practice vs. Blast 💥, Fog of War 🌫️, and Weak Magic ✨❌—save my winning lineups as “templates” so I can reuse them quickly.

• Micro-upgrades: I'll take my core Elf/Earth pieces to L2 where still L1. This directly addresses the Bronze II power gap I felt.

• Economy routine:

• Restake all earned SPS 💎 regularly.

• Keep ~5–10k DEC liquid for sniping underpriced cards; sell unused reward cards as needed to top it up.

• Track & review: Do a short Battle Journal 📖 recap each week (what rulesets/lineups worked, where I lost); it speeds up learning.
