Spending time with God, that is, being in constant contact with the Word of God through reading, has the ability to protect us and open our eyes to the deception of false teachings or false teachers.
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Peter 2:1
We have previously seen how we can identify false teachers. Today we will go a step further and see how we should confront them, that is, how to respond to them or how to deal with such people.
These false teachers seek to create uncertainty in those they read. They generally focus on gaining followers and usually also claim to have abilities and knowledge that their audience does not have and may never have. They claim to be special in the eyes of God and to have received something supernatural, unique, and practically unattainable.
Those who hold a firm and solid doctrine in the word of God are unlikely to be deceived, since they have the light of his word before them. To do this, it is vital that we base ourselves on biblical truths, such as: Jesus died for our sins and sent the Holy Spirit of God to dwell among his children. Jesus Christ will return, and some believers will be resurrected, and others will be transformed with a body of glory to dwell forever with Jesus. This is one of the unshakable truths on which we can rely and fully trust.
but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and respect.
1 Peter 3:15
When we are confronted by false teachers or people whose doctrine is far removed from the Word of God, we must defend our faith in the Word of God. Just as the Word asks us to always be prepared to give a defense with reverence and gentleness, only by reading the Word of God and learning from it will we be prepared to defend our faith against false teachings.
We must have a solid doctrine based on the Word of God, and this is key to defending our faith. Let's have a study plan, daily readings, no matter how small, let's read the Word of God and pray to be in daily communion with God. It can be two, five, 10, or more minutes a day, but the important thing is to start today and move forward from now. Are you ready?
Pasar tiempo con Dios, es decir: estar en relación permanente con la palabra de Dios a través de la lectura tiene la capacidad de protegernos y de abrir nuestros ojos ante el engaño de falsas enseñanzas o falsos maestros.
Pero hubo también falsos profetas entre el pueblo, como habrá entre vosotros falsos maestros, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías destructoras, y aun negarán al Señor que los rescató, atrayendo sobre sí mismos destrucción repentina.
2 Pedro 2:1
Hemos visto anteriormente como podemos indentificar a los falsos maestros, hoy vamos un paso más allá y veremos cómo debemos hacer las frentes es decir como responderles o cómo lidiar con dichas personas.
Éstos falsos maestros buscan crear incertidumbre en aquellos que Leoces, generalmente se enfocan en ganar seguidores y por lo general también dicen tener capacidades y conocimientos que su audiencia no los tiene y quizás nunca lo tenga, dicen ser especiales ante los ojos de Dios y haber recibido algo sobrenatural, único e inalcanzable prácticamente.
Quienes tienen una doctrina firme y sólida en la palabra de Dios difícilmente sean engañados ya que tienen la luz de su palabra a la vista. Para ello es vital que nos basemos en las verdades bíblicas como por ejemplo: Jesús murió por nuestros pecados y envió al espíritu Santo de Dios para que habite entre sus hijos, Jesucristo volverá y algunos creyentes serán resucitados y otros transformados con un cuerpo de gloria para habitar para siempre con Jesús y esto es una de las verdades inquebrantables en las cuales podemos apoyarnos y confiar plenamente.
sino santificad a Dios el Señor en vuestros corazones, y estad siempre preparados para presentar defensa con mansedumbre y reverencia ante todo el que os demande razón de la esperanza que hay en vosotros
1 Pedro 3:15
Cuándo somos confrontados por falsos maestros o personas que tienen doctrina muy alejadas de la palabra de Dios, debemos defender nuestra fe en la palabra de Dios y así como la palabra nos pide que estemos siempre preparados para presentar defensa con reverencia y mansedumbre, únicamente leyendo la palabra de Dios y aprendiendo de esta es que estaremos preparados para defender nuestra fe ante las falsas enseñanzas.
