The Word of God reminds us that the Christian life is not sustained by our own strength; the Christian life must be sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit. It has little to do with how much we know, or the talents or resources we have; God empowers us.
The Word says, "You will receive power." It means that it is the Holy Spirit who empowers us, gives us strength. If we are weak, He lifts us up, and equips us with everything we need to continue. When we read, "You will be witnesses," this is NOT optional. We have a high calling, called to reflect Christ with our lives. We will be witnesses "to the ends of the earth." It means that this message has NO limitations or boundaries. This message begins with those closest to us and thus begins its expansion.
God tells us that we must stop depending on human strength; we must learn to trust in God. When the Holy Spirit guides us, we have no limits, we have no boundaries.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Acts 1:8
La palabra de Dios Nos recuerda que la vida cristiana no es sostenible con nuestras fuerzas, la vida cristiana debe sostenerse sobre el poder del Espíritu Santo, poco tiene que ver con lo que tanto sabemos, o los talentos o recursos que tenemos, Dios nos capacita.
La palabra dice: "Recibireis poder" Quiere decir que es el Espíritu santo quien nos da poder, nos da las fuerzas, si estamos débiles, nos levanta, nos equipa con todo lo que necesitamos para seguir. Cuando leemos "Seréis testigos": esto es algo que NO es opcional, tenemos un alto llamamiento, llamados a reflejar a Cristo con nuestras vidas, seremos testigos "Hasta lo último de la tierra": Quiere decir que este mensaje NO tiene limitaciones ni fronteras, este mensaje inicia por los mas cercanos y así inicia su expansión.
Dios nos indica que debemos dejas de depender de las fuerzas humanas, debemos aprender a confiar en Dios, cuando el Espíritu Santo nos guía no tenemos límits, no tenemos fronteras.
Pero recibiréis poder, cuando haya venido sobre vosotros el Espíritu Santo, y me seréis testigos en Jerusalén, en toda Judea, en Samaria, y hasta lo último de la tierra
