By shaking it, your Pokemon companion will make a sound and the Poké Ball Plus will vibrate.

After connecting your Poké Ball Plus with your phone and the Pokémon GO app, it will alert you when there's a Pokemon nearby. When a wild Pokemon pops up, the Poké Ball Plus will light up and vibrate. Simply click a button and different LED patterns shows whether you caught it or not. This Joy-Con controller will also count your steps, allowing you to hatch eggs and obtain rare candy. All of this can be done without checking your phone at all!
