Howdy HIVErs!
The second day I was in Barcelona, I was awakened quite early by the hot temperature of our sleeping quarters, whose AC unit was not so effective as I might have liked. Paired with our close proximity to the floors' bathroom, whose door had the tendency to slam violently, it added up to a quite mediocre quality of rest. However, I used the less-than-ideal situation to my advantage and decided to venture out before light to get some blue hour footage of dawn with my drone.
At this point in the trip I was still quite paranoid about flying my device, which I believed to be legal due to its ultralight weight below 250g — though I had some doubts due to being approached multiple times by Barcelonians the day before with proclamations of prohibition. So it was with some trepidation and caution that I launched my drone to do a couple hyperlapses as well as flyover shots of this area near the Port Vell dock.
I am very glad I did, because I love how these shots captured the pristine and regal beauty of this sleepy city before the action of the summer day picked up!
These shots were taken with a DJI Mini 2 drone. I am going to attach a couple videos to the end of this post for further reference — one, a short vertical loop of the two hyperlapses I captured, the other, my full vlog from our second day in Spain.
Hope this post finds everyone well and thank you for stopping by!
