MANY Spoilers!!
Chapters Read:
- Fire in the Night
- Over the Wall and into the Maw
- The Storm Breaks
- That Which Does Not Kill…
These were pretty suspenseful chapters once again, I don't remember pretty much any of this part of the book. Most of this book has been this way, but definitely the second half I've been most forgetful which is odd.
I forgot that Shruikan even showed himself at all! That was ridiculously intimidating. What I DO remember of their plan to attack Galbatorix, it seems that their plan was quite logical. Because fighting Shruikan out in the open seems like a bad idea LOL.
It's rather shocking how Murtagh and Thorn got duped again with an illusion. I guess you just gotta credit the elves on that one.
This attack on Urû'baen definitely feels the most spooky. The whole geographical setup, this being Galbatorix's home and the capital in general, this whole situation feels so wild! Again I do believe a good portion of these feelings is because I'm literally in the last stretch of this series!
I will say, the traps set by Galbatorix do seem a bit silly kinda lol. I feel as though this is a video game or something. Stuff falling from the ceiling, holes in the ground, blades, spikes etc. Nevertheless I do think I'd be pretty scared if I were actually there. I find it odd that Murtagh is just running around behind them. I guess they don't attack because there's still traps behind them and Murtagh doesn't attack because he's without Thorn and he's overall simply outnumbered. Perhaps he's aware of Eragon having Eldunarí. I'm still excited to hear about how Nasuada gets free!
Finally meeting Galbatorix pretty much face to face at the end of 'That Which Does Not Kill…' is so interesting!!! It's all come down to this pretty much!!
Only a handful of chapters left!!!
