On the first of October 2015 my little ones became members of the catholic church. It was one of those important moments as Christians parents to bring our offspring's into the household of God. I have been a Christian for more than 3 decades and my kids happen to be my first converts. So at least I and my wife (@blezyn) can proudly say we've done the Lord's work.
I have never been baptised as a Christian. It does put a question mark on my stance as a Christian, and it is something I should do (soon). Nevertheless, watching my kids achieve this milestone before I do is not only interesting but also symbolic. It foreshadows what I believe will be their future--achieving things I never did. As a parent it is heart-warming seeing your children breakthrough all the limitations that held you back, and I can already see them doing just at a very young age.
The ceremony was small and brief. We had a few friends in attendance as parents and godparents said their vows. Both my kids where then baptised with water and anointed.

### A WORD FROM PAPA
Being a Christian has been an integral part of my life and I am offering you(Zara and Zion) the same luxury. I cannot count the number of things my faith saved my life. It was all I had in the darkest times of my life. I don't if you would need God/Jesus as much as I did (I hope you do), but this card is always on the table whenever you do.

The world is rapidly changing and many people are moving towards other things asides religion. I do hope you stick to the faith, and find God for yourself in a meaningful way. It is not my intention to coerce you into accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as you will always have a choice in this household. However, in all you do love your neighbour as you would yourself. Treat people with fairness and equity. This is the greatest commandment of God, and a perfect way to live life.
In conclusion, it is my hope and prayer that you find God for yourselves and pass down the faith to your kids (if you decide to have kids), and most importantly that you live lives worth of the faith. It is not about the tag 'Christian' but the quality of character. How we show up in the world is more important than any tag. Keep this in mind as you go about your daily lives. Love you.
