Are you familiar with "sinanduloy"? What comes to your mind if you hear "sinanduloy"? Do you have your answer, or are you curious about it?
Today, please bear with me as we prepare and cook "sinanduloy". But before that, can you guess what "Sinanduloy" is?
Sinanduloy is a Cebuano dish made from cooking a mixture of either rice with sweet potato or corn with sweet potato. It's very easy to cook and is good to eat partnered with grilled pork, grilled fish, dried fish or what we call "bulad", veggies and many viands to eat together with this called sinanduloy.
Here are the ingredients:
sweet potato diced (6 pcs small size); it depends if you want more
water (5 cups)
corn grits (3 cups)
Procedure:
- Peel the sweet potato and cut it into dice.
I used violet sweet potato, or "tapol", though there are many varieties of sweet potato.
Peeled sweet potato.
Cut into dice.
- Put 5 cups of water in a covered pot.

Wait until the water boils, then put in the diced sweet potatoes and wait until they are half cooked.

Add the 3 cups of corn grits and mix it well and cover it until cooked.
SERVE HOT. "SINANDULOY IS READY."
