This morning, I decided to cooked Kangkong stew added with left-over foods. This was my first time to cooked this kind of dish and I invented it here. Gladly we have left-over fried chicken I'd brought last night. I carefully turned into smaller pieces so it will cook instantly and next I cut and removed those kangkong leaves at the stalks. I learned this in social media and I really want to tried and applied here in our house. I carefully checked those leaves to see if there are small insects and after that I washed it with water. Preparing and cooking this kind of dish only takes a few minutes.
I also used my newly brought kettle, I brought it yesterday so I can store lots of hot water. The first this I did was to washed it with clean water, Applied lots of soap and brushed the entire thing. There are lots of dusts sticking at the kettle so washing it is very important. I brought it for only 339 Pesos at the Supermarket, I tried to buy a big kettle but the price is very expensive so I decided to buy this small kettle. As I finally finished my Morning obligations, I take a bathed and started to wait passenger vehicles along with my Granddaughter. I brought Extra clothes, few packs of powdered milk, sterilized water and diaper. I also brought broomstick and a cuttings of kangkong vegetables since this community service also includes Gardening.
It takes a few minutes of traveling and my Granddaughter was very excited riding on a passenger vehicle. As we arrived at the place, Parents and Guardians are already there cleaning the entire place while the children are inside of the classroom together with their teacher. We removed those wild grass at the front of the classroom and making landscapes for the ornamental plants. Aside of that, each Guardians or Parents must brought Vegetable plants to be planted in the small garden at school. While my Granddaughter was busy playing with her teacher, I also kept busy cleaning outside the room. After almost two hours of cleaning activities, and after that I decided to do attendance. There are also somw Generous people who offered snacks for free and this will be a great day of Community service while eating delicious snacks.
It takes a few hours of making a garden in front of the room since this classroom only contains small spaces. This simple Garden also contains different kinds of newly planted vegetables brought by Parents. This can be useful to help gathered lots of vegetables for feeding day activities and also one of the School requirements, to have a School Garden. We also kept ourselves busy by Filling up those recycled empty plastic bottle with soil so we can startes planting it.
The teacher requested us to recycled those empty plastic bottles into a vegetable pots. I also have some ideas on how to do it and gladly I applied. I cut some plastic bottles into half first, then filling up with fertile soil before planting those cuttings. Using a nylon, I hanged it to the wall so it will become more attractive, since the vegetables we planted will produced vines so it is perfect to hanged it at the wall. The activity was succesfully by giving some snacks for the children and Parents. The teacher also very thankful for the cooperation and great supports. Have a nice day everyone.
