Beach walk is one of my hobbies in life in fact everytime when I am at the coastal areas, the most thing I really want to do is to explored the coastal areas. For today's travel blog, I will take you in the coastal areas of Barangay Biga in the Municipality of Lugait in the Province of Misamis Oriental. This kind of place is very common here since some of the Barangay is near at the sea. Traveling from Manticao to Calangahan only takes a few minutes depends on how crowded and traffic the road is. It is accessible by any types of vehicles like trucks, motorcycles, private cars and a perfect site for picnics and Camping activities. Every morning, there are few people walk at the coast specially when it low tides just to search or looked for any fish, crabs, shrimps and sea shells. Unlike the other beach, this place is filled with lots of rocks and corals but those things gives an attractiveness because of its shapes, formations and colors.

Why I can say that this place is perfect for camping and picnic trips?

Its because most of the areas here contains a plain and wide dry land were lots of tall coconut trees and wild plants grows. Coconut trees are leaning towards the sea because of the past strong winds and typhoons happens here. If we want to see a perfect sunset, visiting here is perfect. Every afternoon, neighboring mountains can be seen and some big ships floating and passing nearby. Almost 300 tall coconut trees can be seen here and all of it are already produced lots of buko fruits. This wide place also holds an excitement stories just like an old bay walk and an old rocky road. There is also a simple waitingshed built last time but it was totally collapsed because of the previous big waves splashing at the shore.

An Old and Abandoned Bay Walk:

I never thought that this was a bay walk but as I heard the story about it, I was very amazed and truly imagined how sea water keeps rising and reaching this bay walk. This series of black colors at the top of the corals was an asphalt road. Many years and decades has already past, the once dry land is now completely reach by sea water and well submerged every high tide. This abandoned bay walk is connected in Lamesahan beach front, connecting to Barangay Calangahan and biga. According to the old elders I talked about, there are lots og big trees grows those time but also washed out by sea water.

High tide or low tide, fishing activities always done in here. In fact every morning lots of fishermen riding on their boats went here and casting their nets ang hope to catch lots of fish. Every afternoon until evening, they went back here to catched lots of fish again. This is truly a fishing ground because lots of fish can catch here.

This are the rock pools can be seen everytime when there is a low tide and some big rocks and corals hafly submerged by sea water. All of rocks here are covered with seaweeds, a habitat for few sea water animals and creating rock pools. Most of the tourists who visits here make those Nature made pools as a man-made swimming pools. At the middle of those rock pools are tons of fine sands filled and deposited due to strong water currents.

This plain and wide rocks also gives an nice views of the coastal areas. Not really far from here are few houses built and it is made of solid concrete and few light materials like lumbers. It is so nice to visit this kind of place and it is truly a perfect spots to visit every summer. Have a nice and safe trip to everyone.
